We need a sweet spot for this; the main character is a bit of a sarcastic smart-ass, Buuuut, thats also because of his raising plus his age. Cole was a lot older than Delsin.

The main quest is closer to the second game than the first. Still a little shorter. The big thing is that the main quest is really all you've got going for you. There are side quests... sort of. Find the undercover DUP agent. Or chase the origami paper chick. Oh, wait, you can't do that because the website is down and it won't sync properly. Unless they fixed that since Saturday. At any rate, what made this game seem so short to me is that there is the main quest, spray-painting fixed locations on the map, finding the undercover DUP agents, destroying all of the cameras, finding all of the shards, and the mandatory showdown for each district. The only actual side quest is Cole's Legacy, and that's only if you preordered. Luckily, I did, and that 4 quest chain was kind of cool.

Each one sort of did their own thing and had their own play style and were powerful enough to work on their own. I'd have liked to see special enemy types that made you change, though. Like enemies that were heavily armored so you had to use the neon power to pinpoint shots, or enemies that you had no choice but to use the video power's stealth to take them down. Would have made it seem more versatile.

Val, that is exactly what I was hoping would happen with the powers. Sadly, the only real reason to switch powers, other than being forced to, is to fit your personal play style. Even then, there isn't much variety.

SpoilerI found myself using the neon power most because the sniping was an easy way to fill up the Karma meter to launch your special power. Also, once you upgrade the running to infinite, it's the fastest way to travel even though you can't fly.

The sniper power is something that I feel has just been half-heartedly implemented. The first time a guy comes at you and you see a blue spot on his ankle and a red spot on his head, it's pretty cool. But when every single enemy has one or two blue ankles and a red head, it gets too repetitive. Then, there are the solid rock guys who have no weak spots at all. I was really hoping for weak spots that either varied by enemy or possibly even shifted depending on what actions they were taking. Seriously, I know that the solid rock guys are supposed to be nigh invulnerable but putting in a mechanic where you could try to pinpoint a small spot at their underarms while they were jumping or something would have been a lot of fun. Instead, it's just a quick Karma charge.

SpoilerThis last thing wasn't an issue while I was playing the game, but I got to thinking about it while I was typing up this response. Did anyone else notice that there were basically three women in this entire game? You had Betty, Augustine, and Fetch. Other than that, the only women you encountered were random civilians. Every DUP soldier, every drug dealer, and every cop were men. You fought one woman in the entire game.

Now that I think about it, this isn't really all that different from the first two games. Guess I just never really thought about it.

Anywho, I am still glad that I bought the game and I'm still having some fun on my run to beat the Infamous path on Expert (gotta hunt those trophies), I just wish that the game would have felt more imaginative. 7/10 for me.
