Now, if you mean having everyone in an RP session listen to a song as a setpiece... eh, as long as you don't try to force them to.So about #4, pretty much not try to be a "Mr. Know it All" or dictate what happens in a situation? I also suppose not using someone's name in a sentence unless you know that person is a bad idea too as in real life there aren't any floating names above our heads haha! But wow thanks! I could use all the help I can get. Maybe we could be friends?
2. Up to you. If it's feasible that it could happen, go for it! It's your choice what happens to your character.
3. We had a thread on this exact subject today, oddly enough.Â
4. "God-modding" is a catch-all phrase commonly understood to mean any occasion where:
- You are depicting your character as hyper-competent to the point that it breaks people's willing suspension of disbelief.
- You are exerting an undue amount of influence or control over someone else's character without their explicit permission.
- You are exerting an undue amount of influence or control over roleplaying events/sessions without common consent from those around you.Â
- You explicitly break established lore/convention while engaged with others who wish to see said lore/convention respected and upheld.
