What irks me more is that they claimed the Quicksand wasn't a tavern when it has been a tavern since 1.0. And if we want more 2.0 evidence, when you first meet Momodi, she says to you: "Name's Momodi, and I own this fine establishment, if it please you. I also manage the Adventurers' Guild here in Ul'dah." If the Quicksand is synonymous with the Adventurers' Guild, it wouldn't make much sense why she would have to clarify that she's also running the AG. And if anyone argues that she was trying to reference the Hourglass as 'this fine establishment' - the quest that sends you to met her, specifically sends you to the Quicksand and makes no mention of the inn.
