I say if you want to go high quality you can always alliance with one of the big podcasts in ffxi and make a proposal for a small segment of 10-20 minutes to start with. They can offer the equipment most of us can't pay and we offer the topics, hosts, etc. (like the small shows from FFXI)
Make it convincing! Do declare how big our community is and can be and how much publicity they can gather just by a small segment of 10min
I believe a low quality audio guests can be acceptable as long as the host and segments are well done, so a simple skype call when talking with more than one is enough, no need for everyone to be high quality.
