I'm actually pretty sure there's someone in the Screenshots thread that was making it a goal to dance or pet or something in front of every A and S rank Hunt target. I'd have to comb through it for the name and their current progress, though. I can't recall either at the moment, only that there's someone doing it.

Yangh was petting the B ranks (like Dark Helmet or the bear/Phecda)

An unhidden miner was just outside of Camp bronze lake where Marberry (the A rank for the zone) is and when they ran to the Aetheryte they also crossed Marberry's path. "That miner is gonna face pull Marberry guys... just watch. Oops there he goes, One. Two. Dead."

@kage ah still learning the names for all of them since i haven't done too many hunts yet....i hope someone revived them after that. :< i hate when stuff arggos on me and i'm just trying to dig around in the dirt xD

Look around for folks talking about A and S Hunt creatures when they pop up. A request in /shout should hopefully get you a Linkshell invite. At least, that's how it seems to work. I've never really joined one myself, but I see folks asking for invites to Hunt LSes all the time.

If you can, join one of the Hunts party finder groups. Actively hunt with them, either running around/looking and making you teleport fast. Ask one of them if Bounty Hunters is open for invites. I think there's another LS, Poachers...?

Hunts are essentially people grinding their in-game time away at non-content for gear they don't actually need to do the content that they're capable of. As a more cynical view of hunts, heh.

The 2.51 update to the weekly (You can get carbontwine now) made Hunts a lot less of a madly rushed thing than they were earlier when they were the only way to get 130 gear that wasn't Final Coil. Gear that you really, entirely didn't need if you weren't already doing Final Coil, as SCoB is completely doable in Soldiery/Poetics stuff and you get the upgrade materials and Dreadwyrm from FCoB to fill out your 130 anyways without hunts.

I've never killed an A or S rank in the month-plus I've been at cap and don't plan on starting. I think hunts are community-destructive non-content. But if chasing rare mobs and staring at timers is your thing, more power to you.

I'll counter by saying some allied seals gear looks really nice. Also, you just described most level 50 repeatables.

True, but there just feels like there's something particularly soulless about Hunts to me. Not entirely sure why. But roulettes, beast tribe stuff, CT weeklies.. All of them just feel better to do. But that's a personal thing.

And yes I'll readily agree that the Seal gear looks excellent, especially the Maelstrom and Flames tank gear. Shame it requires selling yourself to hunts for a week or two to get.

Hunts are fun when you can be on voice chat hunting with friends.

Otherwise I'd just hope a friend's callout would get me there before it is pulled.
