BUMP!

We've now officially entered the planning stage for what could be Erik's last big party before Cliodhna locks him down for good!

Titor is putting the finishing touches on the venue for the party (The Mist, Ward 6, plot 35) , and I have tried to get contacts out to those who initially responded with interest in volunteering as hostesses and staff.

We are planning a well-stocked bar, and our volunteers from The Tonberry Trading Troupe, aka T3-RP of the Wanderer's Lantern, will be providing a menu of food and drink for the occasion.

I am confirming and hosting/seeking hosts for the following mini-events:
(note that events will be kept quick and dirty, just like you like it)

Three Fates Poker (warning, bawdy potential!)

The Chocobo Chowdown Eating Contest (Can you stomach what your bird loves?)

Sudden Death Shots mini-contest (Like Cliodhna's Bacchus Shots... but there's no Round 2!)

Performers and hostesses - please contact myself or Titor Jaraba if you have questions. A possible performance piece is in the works and awaits our roster of lovely ladies. Stripping will NOT be involved, but looking good in something skimpy is part of the deal - it's a bachelor party!

SPECIAL NOTE#1: While this event is not going to be ERPish - please take any such conduct to private locations and venues - it will very well be somewhat bawdy and ribald. Shy and easily offended characters probably won't enjoy themselves!

SPECIAL NOTE#2: Please keep the event free of drama, and come with a spirit of fun. Remember, ladies, Cliodhna's turn comes up later in May, and you will have your turn with Cliodhna's Bachelorette Party, with yours truly there!

SPECIAL NOTE #3: Nathan Telluride himself will not be present at the Bachelor party, and so a special guest will be designated to host the event. Some of you already know our special host, and those who don't, will know soon. Details are available to party staff and special guests ONLY at this stage, but all correspondence and questions may still be directed to Nathan Telluride and Titor Jaraba until our mystery MC is revealed.

1) WELCOME

- Opening words from your hostess, and meet our guest of honor, Erik Mynhier.
- Meet the staff and your hostesses for the evening.

2) DIVA TIME

- We get this party started with a little song and dance performance - enjoy, boys.

INTERMINGLE:

- Mingle and meet the guests, and enjoy our full service bar. Our first party game begins in less than half a bell, but in the meantime, consult our menus and see what's good. Food and drink selections are provided courtesy of the Wanderer's Lantern, one of Lavender Beds' finest inns.

3) BLACKBALL DRINKING CHALLENGE

Lift, drink, and brag with the Blackball Strongman's Shooters contest.
We have no idea whose twisted idea this was, but whoever it was, was the kind of person we want to invite to all our parties. Turns out that we've got this 50-Ponze sphere of polished onyx, see, and some mad genius of a stonemason carved out a little cup-sized notch out of it, enough to hold a triple-shot of your favorite killer drink. Think you can lift it? Think you can lift it quickly and smoothly enough to drink without spilling any? It takes a special combination of muscle, thirst and determination, and every success will be rewarded with bragging rights, and a kiss from one of our hostesses.
(The rules are simple: get a 750 or above on /random, and you win! Otherwise, emote out your loss to the Blackball, and show some style either way.)

Take another break to meet and greet the guests, eat and be merry. But don't eat too much, because in less than another half a bell..

4) CHOCOBO CHOWDOWN CHALLENGE

Who's got guts of iron? Who can eat like a bird - and not from a bird - and take it as well as your best mount? We mean your chocobo, but thanks for thinking of us. Please read the rules for this group eating contest here:

We invite friends, comrades, jealous rivals and maybe even rabblerousers to the stage, where they will be asked to share a brief thought, message, or warning for our guest of honor, before he's too married to hear it. Prepare a two-line message for our groom-to-be, and let him know what he's in for.

6) AFTERPARTY

Thank you for coming! To those of you attending the Grindstone tonight, we'll end the offiicial event so you can get to the greatest show of combat prowess in Eorzea. For those choosing to stay, perhaps we can tempt you with a little gambling, where the stakes might not be what you think, or may be exactly what you think. FINAL UPDATE!

Hostesses and party staff: If possible, please meet at the venue (Titor Jaraba's House, in the basement, The Mist, Ward 6, plot 35) two hours before the event starts, at 5PM EST. You will not have to remain the full two hours prior to the event, unless you wish.

You will be introduced to your MC, and we will have a quick go-through of duties and expectations.

Guests: Please sign up for slots in the party games, if possible!
