I had trouble getting through this the first time. On a positive note regarding failure, you will start building echo, and that will make it easier as well. It was a bear of a fight, for sure, one of the hardest in the msq.

It turned out that the Echo buff was what did the trick.Â I just kept plugging away tonight without going off to do something else.Â By the 5th attempt tonight (17th total ;-) ), my hit points had gone from 6200 to over 10,000, and I'm guessing that both my damage output and defenses had increased proportionately.Â My attacks were crazy-good by that point, and even the Vanguard mechs in the last wave weren't hurting me much.

So, done with it, finally!

Congrats! Though... ouch, that's a lot of attempts! Sad

Hopefully the rest of your journey through FFXIV will be a lot smoother!

And yes, the Echo basically boosts all relevant stats - HP, MP, and damage - with each stack of it. It's pretty handy when you get stonewalled by something like that.
