My character is a proverbial melting pot of cultures.

He was born a Keeper Miqo'te from a Seeker mother (and a Keeper father, hence), and was raised by three different "parents": His Seeker mother, his Hyur Godfather, and his Roegadyn Godmother. He hasn't truly adopted many of the traditions of his people, but he has a great pride in Limsa Lominsa and follows its traditions.

Hope gives the earth blessings
Courage lights the flames
Kindness makes water the source of life
Pursuit lets wisdom ride the wind

One more little tidbit on the Elezen...

Quote:"Ultimately, the Elezen diverged into the two clans that exist today. The Wildwood Elezen took to the forests in their ongoing fight to protect their homeland against the encroaching Hyur, while the Duskwight Elezen withdrew to caves and sub-terrain, opting instead to avoid all contact with any but their own."

All we want is to be left alone...is that really so bad Cry ?

I found this whole thread pretty interesting, and it has given me a few things to mull over with my own character.

I will be playing a male Sunseeker myself, as part of a tribe. He doesn't see anything wrong with the culture but has little interest in fighting for the title of Nunh. To him, the world has so much more to offer than a title and breeding rights.

He is however, widely interested in other cultures and opinions so perhaps his opinion will change, with time.

Not that it was mentioned, but to add to the cultural influences:

Zarek was born and raised in Ul'dah and as such, gil/money is almost the most important thing there is to him.

Martiallais Heuloix - Duty. Honor. Faith.
Armand Tremaux - Justice, like lightning.

Personally I am playing Rogier quite close to duskwight lore, though only by happy accident. Rogier is a research obsessed mage who avoids people in general in favor of his work. He was also raised away from any real society and may have a history with caves...
