My highest character was a level 7 PGL in 1.x. Once it became apparent the only thing to do was grind (especially with the insanely small levequest allowances), I bailed out and used my CE box as a monitor stand. In my defense, the CE box for 1.x is very pretty and just the right height for a 22" monitor on my desk. Smile

In Phase 3, my highest was a 29 CNJ with a bunch of other classes in the 20s. I clearly enjoy ARR far more than 1.x. Smile

I played the beta, release, and around 3-5 months of the game after that. I started as pugilist but then made a new character who specialized in weaving/gathering/goldsmithing and I enjoyed that a lot more.

I played 1.0 from start to shut down. I got all classes 50 including the crafting and gathering jobs. I prefer to play as mage classes when tackling content though. I also completed every piece of content in 1.0 including all the quests and battle content, (Darnus hard, Ifrit Extreme etc) and I currently am in possession of 3 relics. Stardust Rod, Thyrus and Artemis Bow. I also have a handful of Darklight and other trinkets.

To answer my own OP, I actually was in the betas etc for 1.0. Had a whole LS with some good friends going into launch. After a while, though, people started to leave. The LS fell apart Cry

and I only tinkered with the game here and there because I loved the world etc.

I switched characters since my first one had an RP sister that wasn't playing anymore. Even still, the highest level I got to was 21 PUG with some random lower level classes. I never even entered a dungeon. So for the most part this game is still totally new to me. I actually now wish that I had played more of 1.0 to have some better context to the new story, but, what can you do?

I'm debating if I want to return to my 1.0 character. If I did I'd likely change how she looks and give her a whole new story. Otherwise, I'm going to make a new character and start over.

I got Black Mage and Dragoon to 50. My second highest was Pugilist at 15. (Got it to 15 to qualify for Black Mage and abandoned it ASAP.) Second highest /liked/ class, though, was Conjurer at about... 13-15.

I only stuck around for about a week, so... I couldn't have gotten very many levels. I mostly created characters, played them for a bit, and then logged off. I have a habit of doing that since CoH, on any game with at least a minor bit of customization.

Now that I've done that to death with the character creator, I shouldn't feel the need to do so. Yay for that, I suppose.

I think, so far, these result are pretty interesting and sort of what I was expecting. In fact, I was expecting a little more in the 50 range since it's most likely that the majority of players that stuck with 1.0 were probably role-players. Since typicallyÂ role-players can enjoy a game beyond just the mechanics.

These results still don't count the many 1.0 players that are probably on the fence still and waiting to see how things play out.

Anyway, keep the results coming in!

I onlyÂ managed toÂ getÂ Pugilist to 50, and I believe my second highest class was Lancer at 25 (though I did level an alt character to 25 as well). Yeah, I was pretty lazy in 1.0 Angel

DoW - PGL, MAR, ARC, LNC to 50. GLD to 35, CON to 18, THM to 1 XD
Crafting - ALC to 50, LTW to 25.

Fishing - 33

Did all the main storyline and all quests.

Like Aysun, my first to 50 was Weaver. I had no interest in any of the combat jobs as they all felt somewhat lackluster early on in 1.0 when set in contrast with with what we'd grown accustomed to in FFXI, but I did find the crafting system intriguing in spite of how a lot of others felt about it early on.

My next level 50 was several months later and was Lancer, and was done somewhat grudgingly. I was also dabbling a bit with Thaumaturge in the hope that "blood magic from within" might eventually transition to White Mage. Wups!

After jobs were released I made a good solid push on CNJ/WHM (even though I still don't care for the "conjurer" element of it) since that was always intended to be my kind of main.

These three (WVR, WHM, and to a lesser extent DRG) I consider to be my "mains" and generally don't enjoy going to do anything progression/endgame as anything other than WHM.

After that I leveled Leatherworker to 50 to support crafting and focused on completing a Luminary Needle (which also meant doing a bunch of weaving synths over that I had never gotten credit for the first go-round).

Then I got kind of bored towards the end of 1.0 (but only when RP wasn't happening!) and spent time leveling all the rest of the DoW/DoM jobs to 50 even though I don't really have much intention of RPing any of that experience at all. Also leveled armorcraft pretty well along but I don't remember exactly how far - mid-40's maybe. The rest of the crafts are scattered across the 20's and 30's I think.

I got all jobs 50 and BTN 50. The rest of the crafting classes were 15+. I generally did content and helped other players out with content so as to procrastinate from doing crafting lol.

As far as content, I finished all side quests (except the crafting class quests), main story quests, and gc quests. I beat all of the Primals. Got several weapons and a few pieces of Darklight. The only thing I didn't do was beat Darnus Hardmode or finish my relic quest for Curtana. =/ Sad day. I also think it's a shame what they did to the White Ravens. Those who got them most definitely earned them. That fight was intense.
