I don't know how accurate this is since between April and June of 2010 they made a 21 million profit... Losing 9 million in 6 months seems a bit unrealistic (to me at least). If that is the case, and your data is correct, then something else must have happened to damage their cash flow. I highly doubt they would lose 9 million just off of FFXIV.

If I were a business exec, I'd probably heavily consider scrapping any project that LOST me 9 million in half a year. But then again, I'm not a business man :)

It wasn't just FFXIV it their entire gaming division. Projects like Deus Ex: Human were big profit losses. From last year to this year their profit forecasts downgraded 12 billion yen (143 million dollar loss of profit).

Next year should be a big turn around for them.

The released of the PS3 version which will, hopefully, bring them a lot of profit. Final Fantasy XII Versus, Kingdom Hearts~

I think they're good. Just fucked up with FFXIV (although they are fixing it) and didn't advertise Deus Ex properly. I only saw like... 2 ads for it and 1 trailer that I had to dig for.
