Good day to you!!!

I have just come back from an extended hiatus from the game. Looking for an RP environment has brought me back to this games balmy shores.

So much has changed! They have added so much that it almost feels like a new game.Â

Anyway, my linkshells are dead, my free company is gone... Looking for new ones!

Welcome back! It must be refreshing to come back to so many new things.

I'm on Balmung so won't be much help to you, but I recommend checking the Linkshell Hall - there are some FC and LS listed, hopefully you might see one you like the look of!

Looks like balmung is more active than gilgamesh? at least from the list there.

Yes it is, but I've been told the RP is still pretty active over there, although I don't think it's as public as it is on Balmung. There's a neatÂ Making Connections thread which might help find others in hiding.Â Tongue

And the Gilgamesh threads too.

There's a server transfer option in the Mog Station if you findÂ Gilgamesh a little quiet for your liking, but it costsÂ $18 and there are some conditions to transferring regarding max amount of gil and stuff.

I have a level 50 warrior on balmung also. However, with the changes to the game, maybe I should just start a fresh character!

I feel you mate, left for six months as a 50 WAR then came back with a new class, houses, like 80 primals and suddenly Alexander in a month. Regardless I made a new char and now main NIN because I'm DPS scum. Plenty of luck to you, mate. Gilgamesh is relatively dead, but Balmung is constantly expanding.

I'd like to add though, it's quite difficult making a character on Balmung at the moment as it's restricted most of the time with people playing because of recent patches and the expansion coming up. Sometimes it's open early morning EST, or one of the best times is before or after maintenance. But since you've already got a character there it might be quicker to stick with them until you see it open.
