It's true that the boys ain't got no booty though. Have to be fairly crafty to get one (subligars work quite well for both booty and bulge purposes, depending on the subligar - Star-Spangled Subligar handle both quite nicely, which is the reason I've got it glamoured as a Monk).

<- has no problem with more females who rp then males.
I was coincidentally talking to my friend about this the other day and he said it's probably because a lot of guys don't role play outside the bedroom because it makes them feel stupid. Not only did I immediately stop the conversation before it went in the gutter, but I also kinda can see his point. I myself thought role play was for women until I decided to try it. Now I have no regrets. Well my friend calls me a chick jokingly now but that's because I don't wanna endgame with him all day anymore. Kevin Gates - Told Me

I think your friend has an ignorant way of looking at things. I've been RPing for 15 years now (okay, 14 years and like 8 months), and it has been 99.8% combat or military-based and .2% smut. I've never considered non-eRP to be the realm of women. That's just...

And ima be honest. . . If I play females it's only so I can admire their bodies while I play.
Haven't on final fantasy because the women have no bodies, but I know I cant be the only one that's done this? Kevin Gates - Told Me

I usually play female characters in MMO's since armor tends to look better on them. Â But FINALLY I find one where the males look just as good as the females.
I play strictly male characters. Â Sadly I've yet to find any RP for my character. Â With all the rumors I heard about people avoiding Miqo'te RPers I didn't think nothing of it. Â I'm starting to believe it now, people avoid me like the plague for some reason ._. But yeah, I've noticed alot of female characters as well. Â Honestly doesn't bother me. Â I just view the majority as dudes playing female characters. Â Doesn't matter to me who is behind the character. Each Warrior wants to leave the mark of his will, his signature, on important acts he touches. This is not the voice of ego but of the human spirit, rising up and declaring that it has something to contribute to the solution of the hardest problems, no matter how vexing!

Granted, that's not a proper sample because she's the only one I sit around on as much. I can sympathize with the feeling of being avoided, though. Girl RPer here, proudly main-RPing male characters! (I have made female characters too but they were mostly friend's requests/alts for story connections with my mains)
And yeah, way way way too many girls around. To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." -- N.C. |

Eh, people play what they like. I don't really have any negative feelings towards the number of women characters (or the number of miqo'te :p). So long as people are having fun with their characters, then it's all good.
FFXIV was the first time I actually made and roleplayed a male character, though. I had a male castanic alt in TERA, but he didn't really see any action - was just eye candy. xD "Song dogs barking at the break of dawn, lightning pushes the edges of a thunderstorm; and these streets, quiet as a sleeping army, send their battered dreams to heaven." I'm a short (5'1") female who plays a hulking muscular mass of man and I'm proud of it!
[5]<Kayllen Stormbringer> I'm kinda wondering if Rhalgr and Halone's relationship is like strong independent warrior queen and her tourettes-ridden father with a drinking problem. |

Woman playing a woman here. I play male characters here and there, briefly. But I just love the strong woman warrior archetype too much to seriously consider playing anything else.

Honestly? I still don't understand why this is even a discussion. People will play what they want to play, and very little will persuade or dissuade someone from playing a female if they want to play a female, or a male if they want to play a male. As there are no tangible benefits to playing a female toon, it is not any sort of problem, or even something to be noticed at all.Â
If anyone is butthurt about this, I apologize, but people will always play what makes them happy, and you can't force me to play more male or more female characters, no matter how the gender makeup of the server falls. I have no qualms about playing male characters-I have several-but for the record, encouraging people to play what they don't want to play for the sake of "Realism" is outright stupid, and never works.
