(This post was last modified: 02-21-2013, 04:39 PM by Vareal.)
So I decided to run the benchmark with every setting at every resolution on my machine and tell you what I've found. Lets start from the top.

My system Specs:
Show Content
Spoiler
Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Processor: AMD FX™-8150 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
 Display Memory: 4034 MB
   Dedicated Memory: 1986 MB
      Shared Memory: 2047 MB
       Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

1080p

Maximum: While the game looked absolutely beautiful at the maximum settings at this resolution, I did run into some really boggy area's around the third segment of the benchmark. While on any setting at any resolution, my score reached at least 4,500 on the first segment (on other resolutions it was much higher), after that is where the real test begins. While my computer is perfectly capable of handling the game on maximum at this res., I'm not too fond of an average 45.153 FPS.

High: My computer found this one a little better, it ran smoother with less lagging, though there was still some, mostly in the more graphically intense sections. This is probably the setting I will use when I get into the actual game, but we'll see; a 59.373 FPS average isn't all that bad.

720p

And now onto 720p. The game itself ran much better at this resolution (again I know that's just my PC in general) but there was a little quirk I noticed that I'll get to in a second that would make 720p the best resolution to run in, despite your machine. Lets take a look.

Maximum: This setting ran just about as well as the High @1080p, little lag and mostly smooth sailing @63.330 FPS.

Custom

So, like I said, there was an interesting quirk I found. I decided to run the game on all low settings at two different resolutions: 1024x768 and 720p. Interestingly enough, the game ran better in 720, but what's even more interesting is that, even though the settings were all on their lowest, the game still ran better on medium settings @720. Not what I was expecting, but 720 seems to be the ideal resolution. -even though the game still ran amazingly-

720 Custom

1024x768 Custom
[Image: custom1024x768.jpg]

So that about sums up my experience with the benchmark. I know this is only specific to my system and yours may function differently. I just wanted to share.

Will post the results from my 2011 13" Macbook Pro once windows is done installing.

I ran it all of twice. 's all I really needed to see. I can run max settings at 1920x1080 and get 3181 which is "Fairly high" according to it, so I'm happy. :3

Highest I got was a little over 5000. Tweaking the settings a bit I got about 4500. On Max settings, 3200. Not bad for a three year old store bought rig I suppose.

Nice! I forgot to mention that my load times were basically non-existent, which makes me happy.

Also, currently running the benchmark on my laptop. It crashes when I try to run it on max settings, and high is running rather poorly. Hopefully medium will be better.

Just to the right of graphics presets in the settings menu Moltove. Change the resolution to 1280x720.

Medium, 1280x1024: 8567.
Medium, 1900x1080: 7596.

Maximum, 1280x1024: 5639.
Maximum, 1900x1080: 4719.

Customs in Maximum 1280x1024 went from the 5800s to just below 6100, which are still Very High.

My desktop is four years old, too. It seems I built it well.

If you want to get your numbers a little higher, the Custom options I tweaked were no motion blur, no limb darkening, no rendering of things not visible (Occlusion Culling), no depth of field in cutscenes, and low-detail shadows. I noticed only the absence of depth of field, and didn't mind.

I ran it originally at 1280x720 iirc, at Medium settings. Got around 4800, I think.

Ran it on High settings at my monitor's full resolution (1600x900) and got just around 2500.

So next I tried to run it on 1600x900 on medium settings, but with some custom options. Got just over 3000.

Needless to say I am pleased. I expected to bomb.

I'm pretty pleased. 5049 (very high) at 1920x1080. Avg. Framerate: 40.228

Sacrificed depth of field, ambient occlusion, and lowered shadows to mid. I still want to upgrade my video card when I can, but overall I'm not complaining!
