Hey everyone, sorry I always sound like a complete idiot whenever I do introductory posts. Â I guess i'm a little new to the RP scene as in I've never tried it on an actual mmo. Â I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on what I should do (and how i should not be so shy when introducing myself to new people Â Geek

)

Looking for new pointers, i transferred an old character from another server in (but i'm changing classes completely) Â Currently i'm in Ul'dah so if anyone wants to find me and hang out (or laugh)

I think i've played and spoiled enough for me to get the basic gist of ff14 but thanks for the offer!

For one, I'd think on what sort of character do you want to play. Do you want to be a conjurer? a Mage? a fighter?

Why is your character a fighter?

look at the lore that surrounds the races of Eorzea. Are they from a tribal group if they are miqo'te. What did they do before and after the calamity?

A good reference is [The Role-Play Handbook] a great resource.

Also check out the [RP Linkskell & Free Company Lists for Balmung] for things that suit you. A Linkshell is like an in game chat channel and you can have 8, and a Free Company is like a Guild.

Fell free to come join us in [Hugs & Cakes Link Shell] where there is a nice positive bunch of RPers.

I guess I'm still finalizing some points but so far I have a character that is a female Midlander, I haven't decided on a class (I started with Lancer, switched to Conjurer, tried pug, thaum, and now I'm back to Lancer now) but I'm thinking of Archer since I can't seem to get good with Lancer.

So far for origin story, I have a Ishgardian Midlander from a well-off family who wanted to her continue "finishing school," but she had other plans and is trying her hand at adventuring before her parents lock her into a boring future of business and trade.

So far she's just really bad at everything (since I am too) and she's just tries her best. Â In the meantime she's sending false letters home saying she's having a great time and etc. Â I work full time, so I have a few idea bouncing in my head.

I just plan on creeping on other people in chats and leveling up/deciding on what class I want to be.

I have been reading hand book like crazy, it's really great!

I'll definitely search for you guys in Hugs and & Cakes, sounds like a great place to start
