I feel like the female Elezens are rarer than the guys. Of course, this might just be because I play a male Elezen.

I find myself surrounded with Roes and Elezen of both genders.

I've noticed that people tend to RP more with characters that are within the same 'Height Category' and Elezen for example seem to seek each other out.

Feels weird staring down at catgirls after a while.

Life as a lalafell is always having to look up at people. At the end of the day, your neck kinda hurts.

I have been running into quite a few Elezen males lately, and I have also realized that these elezen tend to be pretty attractive.

I've seen more Wildwoods then Duckwights. Either way, they are both attractive, and that is what really matters.

There are lots of both Wildwood and Duskwight guys (and gals) on the All Ears LS.Â Funnily enough, that was created because of the notion that we were an endangered species.Â The LS is 86 strong.

I have a straight male Elezen duskwight. I love him to death, but it is rather lonely a lot of times for him as he pines away for other Elezen company. Almost any time he see's an Elezen in the QS he tries to chat with them... duskwights especially but if there are none around wildwoods, who tend to be friendlier characters, especially players of wildwood females (duskwight female players, ugh). Repeat encounters have been a problem though so it has been hard to make Elezen friends, and just mostly he gets caught up rping with the other races because they are so much more common, especially Xaela (A lot of friendly Xaela about!).

So now that you guys have all established that I am wrong and there are communities of Elezens still out there amongst the ocean of Miqo'te.Â

How many of you roleplay as a stereotypical Elezen who looks down on other races and compete against each other to become the biggest jerk of Eorzea like the canon npcs we see ingame? =D

Say hi to my character Giauque Lordes whenever he's around. He's very scowly, but I swear he's a pretty nice guy!

@Ozma: Mine isn't much like that. He's Ishgardian born and raised until recently, so he simply doesn't have much experience with Lalafell, Au ra, Roegadyn, or Miqo'te. I wouldn't say he thinks himself better

You can find me in game as Ciel Grayve or Glace Silencieuse.Â A handful of others also have the ability to invite: Crisiet Liautroix, Devereau Beauregard, Julienaux Sintierre, and Corbeaux Baptiste all have stars.Â Feel free to ask any of us if we don't spot you first.

I do! to an extent. Noelia is your typical Ishgardian Noble, and she doesn't really get along well with other races. She can respect Hyur and Lalafells ("little demons" as she calls them) but Miqo'te are just...beneath her.

As a player I don't see many other roleplaying that way. Most often I've seen the Ishgardian rebel kind of character who hates Ishgard with a passion.

Solenne has a lot of racial prejudices. She's most prejudiced against Duskwights (although she's mellowed a bit on that since she had the misfortune of falling in love with one), but she also looks down on Miqo'te (believing they come in two varieties - poachers and dancers), and she's wary of Rogadyn (so uncivilized). Lalas and Hyur get a pass for the most part. I mean, they're not as noble or beautiful as Elezen, but she has a certain measure of respect for them, due mostly to frequent exposure. She finds Au Ra a bit fascinating and flirts when Au Ra men when she's feeling scandalous.Â

I really do wish more people would play up the racial and clan tensions in the game. They are an excellent source of conflict and character development.

Being an Elezen...I suspect isn't always easy, and Ishgardian one at that, considering all the tensions in the game from different sides. Â We actually just happened to run into Solenne and a gentleman Elezen who was less than a gentleman (which I found fun btw!) as we entered Camp Dragonhead, but of course I run with two Elezen, one who is Ishgardian but not of noble blood, and one who is not Ishgardian, so their attitude towards things is just a bit different, being that they very much are the sort of "Adventurer Mentality".

To me, Elezen aesthetic form and movement, are both exceptionally beautiful. Â I actually think that Elezen faces can have non-traditional beauty to them, that I find I quite like, somewhat like a sexy European man that maybe by "American Standards" not everyone would like. Â They have an unusual gait yes, their lovely hips and long limbs account for that, but being a Lalafell, you aren't getting a stranger gait than that, so to me they offer something exotic. Â Perhaps because of their lack of popularity, it makes them special to me, but probably also because those who choose to RP them, seem to be each skilled in their own right when it comes to RP, great stories and plot execution, greater sense of character than some other races! Â I think that FFXIV really makes a wonderful atmosphere for that, and so it makes me love them even more.

Ozma, they are out there, they can be rare, I think they are growing in number though, but they are out there, and should you find one, you can usually expect great RP, so good luck!

While I like how most Elezen of both sexes look, I would agree that they tend to fall into an uncanny valley look that most other races (except maybe femRoe) don't.
