It'll give you a basic idea of what it's all about and also give you the opportunity to cut your teeth in a PUG setting. Beyond that, you can toss up a Making Connections post here on the RPC to hit the ground running once you have a good idea for how you want to write your character and the niches they'd fit best in.  Best of luck!
