Hehehe. I'm not even a legacy player, just a 1.0 character.
That means that I should get the alternate 'survivor' stuff but no discount or fancy choco
The initial game was horribly broken. I'm glad it improved so much, but by then I was busy with other things irl like 2 departmental changes at work (both promotions happily), homeschooling my daughter through a remote learning school district for a year because her local school is so bad and then making sure she got into a better school and finally a magnet program for a still better school, and all of life's other little emergencies. So I missed legacy. Not happy with how the program was handled all in all but not so upset that it really bothers me and I'll enjoy the hell out of ARR and consider it awesome that I don't have to repurchase it.Â
Of course, if I had a maxed out character I'd honestly be raging at SE to let me delevel it to zero so I could play the new game (because really, it's a new game at this point) fresh and as it was meant to be experienced. That's just me though, and I completely understand the flip side of the coin. I also know that the economy honestly doesn't matter in FFXIV: ARR in the way that it mattered in either FFXI or FFXIV 1.0. Quest drops honestly work. It will require some inventory management, but for the most part if I watch my quest usage and keep a level 1 basic set of gear I should be good to do all classes at a slightly sub-optimal gearing without the player economy if needed.
