I purchased the Collector's edition Digital download from the square enix online store.Â
I received no pre-order confirmation code or early access registration thing in my email about it. Has anyone else received these emails or codes?

Or can someone explain this all to me and how it works? I'm kinda worried that I might not have received the email for some reason.

As far as I am aware the EU square enix store has not sent out codes for digital sales for anyone (at least for the collector's edition). I bought it in the EU store as well and have received nothing.

For all countries outside of Japan, registration of the pre-order bonus code is scheduled to begin on the 20th of August, 2013.

Pre-order code seems to depend entirely on who you bought it from. I pre-ordered mine from Amazon and they gave me the pre-order code immediately (even though I can't register it until the 20th).

I pre-ordered from SE (DigitalRiver) all I got was a "serial number". I'm assuming that is the code?

I ordered a physical CE from Game (UK) and received an e-mail straightway with a pre-order code.

However I'm concerned that it's the wrong sort of code, as this is what I received.

You can now enjoy: FFXIV Preorder Bonus
Activation code: XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX

Obviously I've removed the actual characters but the format gives 18 characters if I ignore the dashes or 21 if I include them.

I guess we should just wait a few more days to see what happens. We cant activate till the 20th anyway.

I ordered through the square site to get the CE digitally, and in my invoice I got it had the product code listed right under the FFXIV Collectors Edition enumeration.

Hey! I ordered the Collectors Edition for PS3 (physical copy) from the square enix site and they did send me a code with the confirmation email when I ordered it.
(It's an 18 digit code listed underneath the products. I believe it was under the Preorder Download Bonus Package)

There was also a link in that email where you could click and then input your email so that it would send you further information when the time came for early access (I think!)

My pre-order was definatley for a PC CE, I'm looking at the e-mail confirmation now, but in the e-mail with the pre-order code I'm thinking I've been sent a PS3 code.

Despite the strange limitation for NA users, it looks like the system doesn't stop you from at least attempting to register your pre-order code. (I didn't actually use my code as I didn't want to get it stuck or anything.)
