Nope, I got two character from this morning on Balmung and it is closed off for new characters for me.

I assume they are maxing it out. Seeing how much people they can squish before the server in near caving in. I'm surprised.. I honestly was not expecting this tremedous amount of people to be entering the servers at open beta. (Mind you it is open beta for people who was closed beta testers and legacy.).. Imagine tomorrow.. When anyone can sign up and join? Holy smokes...

As well if you managed to make a character before the server locks (Which I think was done on person for pop control while they do their thing.) You can get in no matter I believe.. Just like someone else said you just can't make new characters..

Patience unfortunately the only thing we can have right now. There are a lot of people locked out still, so you're not alone. Just know that this will all clear up over the next few days. While disappointing, it happened in 1.0 as well and we were still all able to get in! Don't worry it will be worth the wait!!

Well we still have early access, just get on earlier enough just to create your characters.

Gilgamesh and a few other servers already have log-in restrictions.

The lock is only on character creation - I haven't had any issue logging into character already created on the server

Hmmmm. It says log-in restrictions, and a few above that post it says character creation blocking. Either way, this is going to get so much worse...xD

there is a lot of character locks going on with many servers . I suspect square-enix is making room for the new people coming on the 17th before they up the player count on the servers...

if not... and these servers are already semi full.... god help them at launch. Bouncy
