Time to make it official.

Due to the ongoing server issues and inability for numerous RPers to join the event, I am pushing the event back a week. I will edit the calendar and original post/flier soonish to reflect the change. By next week, SE is planning to upgrade servers to help alleviate the problem. In addition, many of the people playing for free may decide by then to move on, thus alleviating servers further.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope to still have a good turnout next week!

Addendum: I will send out another wave of mass pms to volunteers to continue attempts at organizing ourselves. The number of guards (helping as mods) for the event seems quite high at this point. However, I only had one volunteer for the livestream help and I worry if that individual will be able to make it or not. So I would greatly appreciate anyone who wishes to volunteer as a backup streamer. Music will already be provided.

I'll also be able to record the event if I do manage to get there.
Btw, what's the story about not using your main character i saw on the first few posts?

That was when the event was potentially happening pre-launch and people were wondering if their main characters from 1.0 had technically woken up yet from their 5-year vanishment a la Louisoix. No longer relevant~

I'm sad this was pushed back, but I can certainly understand what with the awful server issues. Unfortunately I'd made sure to keep last Saturday open, but not this coming Saturday. Had a mask prepared and everything Sad

I hope something like this happens again soon. With enough advance notice I'll be sure to schedule around it again. Just don't change it on me again!! Tongue

I may be able to attend but with it being so late possibly not, question about the formal ware, do military uniforms count (i.e. dress uniform if you are an officer), I'm not rping an officer, just lore gathering. Â What gears makes for good civilian formal ware, and where can you get it. Â Also still need a reason to turn up IC, Khaze'to has lived in gridania for about 3-4 years now but I don't have any rp connections to drag him along. Â Hes a country hunter moved to the city recently. Can't dance and would not turn up alone.

Also I find it slightly amusing the Idea of wearing a more revealing mask to hide who he is as he wears his mask most of the time anyway.

A reminder to all that this is in two days! Please please please read the original post if you haven't yet (and even if you already have to familiarize yourself with the rules again). For those who can't read it all for whatever reason, lemme repost the most important parts here, and I'll do so again tomorrow.

Event is 100% IC. Please keep OOC chat to a bare minimum.
My character for this entire event is Elza Ashfen. All questions should be sent to her via tell.
Upon arrival, STAY at the gate. There's more than 1 gate into Fallsgourd Float. A guard will be at each one and you will receive further instructions from there and onward. Please assume the guard is 'blocking' the entrance. We have no way of knowing who every RPer is and who's just a regular player passing by.
An event shell will be utilized for the duration of the event. It will be used ICly for an announcement/PA system, though OOC talk is fine on it (just keep it all in parenthesis and to a minimum please). The shell will be discarded after the event concludes. If unable to take the extra shell due to being 8/8 linkshells, please make me aware of this immediately.
Disband all parties upon arrival. If you have a date, still disband, but let the guard know (either IC or OOC).
Initially, after everyone is seated, 90% of the Rp for the first portion of the event should be contained in party chat with your assigned table. Like it or not, this is a rule in order to create intimate RP sessions between small groups and not leave anyone out. It also, more importantly, prevents chat box chaos from erupting and making it impossible to keep up with things. If it's not something the nearby table would hear (loudly talking/shouting, etc), keep the RP in party for the start of the event.

There appears to be a bug with the sidebar. The event is not today guys. It is SATURDAY.

Edit: Not really a bug I guess. It just starts using "today" after the 24 hour mark.

Wahhh, east gate has a big role >w< I'm both really excited and really nervous about this. I think I'll level my character a bit today and get him nicer armour for the event.

This is mostly clarification for any attendees but everyone should continue to wait at the gate, even after they've received their leve with the seating number, until they are escorted to the Bobbing Cork for the opening speech, correct?

Also, is the party leader for each table just created by the the first person issued a number from the table? It sounds obvious but I just want to be sure of what to OOCly ask of each person.
