I feel really weird putting one of these up, but I figure it's a good place to start. So, HELLO! You can call me Ermina. I'm looking for some friendly faces on the Gilgamesh server to get into the RP scene.
--MMORPG background
Prior to this I have been a long time player of WoW. 'Since release' long time player. I've come and gone and come again, but the recent release of this picked up on my radar. I'm pleased with the changes and a fresh experience.
--RP experience
Oh jeeze. Add the 2...subtract the four...multiply by the universe. By these very fancy calculations I've determined I've been roleplaying for about twelve years. I've done text-based RP, chatroom style, and of course MMORPGs. My comfort zone used to revolve around paragraph-styled writing, but I've since loosened mine grip on detailing to the utmost extreme. Most useful for dealing with MMORPGs where not everything needs be told.
--Character ideas/info
SO. I have officially made too many characters. For reals. I have a serious case of Alt-ohism most especially since I just started playing the game. Until I can get into a comfort-niche I'm not even comfortable saying which character would even be close to being a 'main'.
Ahem... For those worthy of being noted. I have a Highlander female named Ermina Reed. I am leaning towards her being my main because she is my 'in your face' character. This means I am able to branch out easier and establish connections with people. She'll wander right on up and poke you in the eye if she thinks you're eyeballing her wrong. It's just how she rolls. I am such a nub to the Lore, but what I've gleaned from sucking up the wiki's floating on the interwebs have given me a very loose structure to begin her with.
To make the long short and the short...shorter. She's a peddler. The sort of crooked peddler where you don't really want to question where she gets her goods. She gets them and gets done, son. You like that lady's dress? It can be guaranteed in your possession for the right price. You want some fancy healing herbs (who does that, really?). No problem, but the traveling costs ain't light. This is not to say she is intended to be a 'bad' character, rather she is morally grey. A life spent dragging herself to the middle makes her numb to some subjects, and ridiculously sensitive to others.
I've also made a Keeper female named Pahja Rabntah. I'm not a 100% certain on how religious anything is outside of the mentionings of the Twelve. So for now she's in my back pocket until I can clear things up. With that being said, Pahja is meant to be what you might call a Moon fanatic or priestess...holy lady...zealot... I think you see where I'm going with this. She worships Menphina and travels about the land spreading the words of her love.
I have other terribly thought out ideas as well, but I will spare you all the details. More than likely they'll never see the light of day. Ever.... Ever.
--How did you learn about the coalition?

--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?
I am best described as a medium-heavy. I try to immerse myself and put myself into my character's shoes when I play, but some things just...don't work for that. I suppose you could say I am a creature of convenience. 90% of the time I'm IC. But if I'm leaping down the street in mis-matched clothing I'm probably just trying to get a task done for the stupid quest. A gentle poke or tell in my direction is all it takes to gain my attention. So poke me.
--Anything from real life you'€™re comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc)
Sure! I am a stay-at-home mother of two. My children aren't old enough to play, and to be honest they don't have that much of an interest in these things anyway. My forsee-able future shows me a life of Soccer-Momdom the likes of which the world is unprepared for. We have a fat, grumpy cat. Not much to say on her besides she's fat, unsocial, and only wants love in the middle of the night when she tries to smother me with her fluff. I am an avid lover of the outdoors which irks my husband to no end. For the time being we live in Colorado, but are native to Virginia. I also have an unhealthy obsession with conquering the world of cooking and baking. I'm not very good at it. But I try anyway.
