I'm an RP fiend.  Also, I do like to do some light PvE.  RP before PvE for me though. Server: Balmung 2. Does your character fit the 'common' lore of your Roegadyn or are they singular? (Eg. Raised by hyur so does not understand X or Y = singular) Fleeting Dawn does basically fit the common lore for Hellsguard.  She's a mercenary, though she does not have the intense sense of loyalty that I have read that most Roegadyn have. 3.  What are your Rp limits, if any? (Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) I like to plan as little as possible in my RPs and know as little as possible OOCly as well.  That being said, I spend a lot of time on my characters and permadeath is something I would consider but probably not do unless the time was right.  And no ERP.  Fade to black FTW.

I don't have it yet, but I do have a snippet of my 100 questions.  Here's a preview.  Also I reference the Echo giving him a vision of the past.  So it might get a little tricky to read... but the people I've shown it too tell me that I differentiate between the vision and the reality good enough.  There is also a bit of an introduction to explain "who" is asking the questions.  I'll just let the entry explain >< (Also apparently the forum doesn't take to copy paste from word well... it seemed to not include a lot of my "spaces" between words.  I went back through to try and catch them but there may be some I missed) Brave Warden sighed as he looked over the axe head he forged earlier that morning.  The room he was in was small especially for a Roegadyn, with sparse furnishings and a small film of dust in areas that didn’t see much interaction.  Behind him on a table was a mostly finished supper consisting of unpolished brown rice, and a thick cut eft steak with gravy over it.  Beside the meal is an unsealed envelope with a letter waiting to be placed inside.  The Roegadyn kept looking at it… then finally walked over and picked up the small packet of parchments, almost instantaneously a vision from the Echo was revealed to him and he put the paper down. “I don’t want to look at this…”   He turned around quickly attempting to flee the thing that caused him such dread.  Unfortunately it became apparent he wouldn’t have a choice, as he saw a familiar woman sitting down on a stump holding the very same stack of papers he had just placed down.  In front of her was a past version of himself, swinging an Axe in a repeated motion.  Brave sighed as he watched the scene play out… muttering to himself quietly.  “Okay… you win.”   The woman snickered as she ignored the unseen audience while watching the Roedagyn continue his practice.     “This is important Brave.  If you’re going to be a Mercenary or just a part of any standing militia they need to know what they’re getting.”   The vision swung again then looked over at the female Helsguard with slight disdain.  “I don’t think any Militia or client for that matter would need to know about some of the things you’re going to ask…”   Brave kept looking at the two of them with a bittersweet expression on his face.  “No… they don’t need to know it at all.”   The woman waved him off dismissively “Brave Warden, you’re name alone will not fill in the gaps of what you’re capable of.  That’s why your lovable and far more eloquent mate will regale them with tales of your gallantry!”   The vision of himself seemed to sigh at almost the same time he did as he spoke.  “Sanguine Song… I’m pretty sure you’re too far into your cups to be telling any kind of story.  Besides, I’ve seen some of those questions.  This is just another one of your ploys to get me to be more sociable with people in Limsa Lominsa.”   The woman balked at him as she dipped her pen into her ink well and gave him a stern look.  “Then I’ll just fill them in for you.”   The image of himself let out a groan that was probably his best attempt of defiance at this point, as he embedded his axe into the ground and sat down in front of her… defeated.  “Okay okay… ask your questions”   She grinned as she began: Show Content The BasicsPart 1: The Basics 1.What is your full name? He looked at her blankly “Are you serious…?”  She returned his blank look with a mischievous one of her own.  “I could answer it myself…” The vision answered curtly“My name is Brave Warden” 2. Where and when were you born? The Roegadyn scratched his head, careful to not tuss up his hair too much.  “It’s not a “place” so to speak.  A small hamlet in Abalathia’s Spine.  Is that enough or do you want the path you take to get there…”   She glared at him a little“Stop acting like you sat on a cactuar and just answer the questions”   The vision straightened up while the actual Brave spoke to himself.  “Ok… maybe I was being a little unreasonable at the time.” 3. Who are/were your parents? “Father’s name is Wandering Bulwark, and for the most part, he was someone who gave his trust too easily.”  Sanguine Song rolled her eyes“OR maybe he realized the world isn’t as bad as you think.”   Brave scoffed “What!  I can count all the people I trust on one hand!”  The red maned Roe folded her arms over her chest returning his biting tone.  “And where do I play into that count?”   The image chuckled while the actual Brave shook his head, watching the image speak “I count you with a different… uh… digit…”   Sanguine looked down for the closest object near her and found a stone to pelt him with.  The image rose his hands in the air to block as Brave snickered.  “Well you had that coming.”   Sanguine cleared her throat.  “Focus… now, what is your mother’s name.”   Brave rubbed his arm as he began to speak but was quickly cut short. “Helsguard name!”   Both the reality and the imaginary shook their heads as the spoke in unison “She hates being called by her Helsguard name.”   Sanguine looked at him then at the paper then returned her attention to him.  “Mostly common folk and outsiders are going to be reading this.  A Helsguard name is easier to remember.   Come on… don’t make me just write it down.”   “It’s Divine Sea-Mother.”   She penciled it down “See…that wasn’t so hard.  Now, onto the next part.” 4. Do you have any siblings?  What are/were they like? Brave cleared his throat.  “I have a Brother.  He doesn’t use his given name anymore, and instead goes by Life’s Siren.” The last bit seemed forced out as Sanguine’s expression softened.   “Come on… you can’t still be bitter about that.  He’s done right by both you and your family now.  Let him follow his passion.”   The image remained silent while Brave spoke softly “You’re right… he’s a good man.” 5. Where do you live now, and with whom?   Brave began to talk over the two images as they seemed to take a few catty remarks at one another.  “I’m a nomad now… But if I were to settle down I’d go back to our home.” 6. What is your occupation? The image quirked his brow at her “Isn’t that the whole point of this questionnaire?  To find someone to hire me or join up with?”  Sanguine dipped her pen again and smiled  “I’m going to put down… Sellsword with a conscious.” Her mate responded cheekily“You mean dirt poor, goody two shoes” Sanguine stuck her tongue out at him as she continued writing.  “We’re using my answer.  Its better, and I like it more.” The actual Brave chuckled “I like your answer more too…” 7. What do you look like? Sanguine gave a sultry stare at her mate as he stood up and made a move for the pen.  “Oh no you don’t!  I’m writing that part. We do not need you, or your so called ‘creative license’ giving people the wrong idea!”   Sanguine pulled back a little as she looked at him pleadingly “Please!!! It’ll be true I promise!  Besides, you’ll just bring up silly things…like how you’re scarred from head to toe or complaining about your “SLIGHTLY overcrowded teeth.”   Brave folded his arms with a half pout “I wasn’t going to bring up my teeth…” Sanguine grinned “I’m writing it.  End of discussion.”   The image threw his hands in the air as he turned around and took his seat.  “Why am I even here?!”   Sanguine’s tongue shot out playfully again as the actual Brave looked down morosely “Because this was the only way she actually got to spend time with you… you Bull Auroch of a fool.”   As she finished writing she straightened her posture as she spoke.  “Brave Warden stands at 7 fulms 6 ilms-“ Brave interrupted “7 fulms 5 ilms…”   She ignored him “And weighs around 350 ponze” The image corrected her “375 ponze” She sighed teasingly “It’s all muscle” The image responded curtly “No it’s not…” She glared at him while the actual Brave smiled at their antics “It’s actually 380 ponze… and now it’s mostly muscle.” “Continuing!” she spoke sternly “He’s got thick black hair that he takes most of the morning to style, as well as very… very broad shoulders.” Brave rolled his eyes as she continued “He actually has to put one shoulder in at a time when walking through doorways… even ones sized for our people”   He gave her dead pan stare “I do not… and they might just think you’re alluding to the idea of me being fat.”   She balked at him “No they won’t!  See here.  I write about how you have a back shaped like the head of a midgarsoma.”  Brave shook his head “I am not that tapered….” Sanguine peered at him as if she were looking through his clothes “I’m pretty sure I could wrap my arms around you… besides my opinion is all that matters!” The real Brave shook his head with a bemused grin.  “Your husband looks like a tired Roegadyn warrior now, who should probably quit before the oaths he swears break him.  Let’s just leave it at that…”   Sanguine grinned as she gave the image a peck on the cheek and pushed him away.  “Moving on!” 8. To which social class do you belong? The apparition of his former self balked “What is this… a ploy to gain sympathy?”  Sanguine shook her head.  “I don’t know… it seemed like an interesting question at the time.  Now that I think about it though, we never put much claim into social status.” Brave pointed toward the sunset jestingly “My turn to say it.  Moving on!”   Sanguine giggled slightly at his behavior while a wry grin crept from her lips. 9. Do you have any allergies,diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Her husband’s deadpan look returned “Are we trying to make it easier to kill me…” She simply continued in a “factual” tone “It might save your life OR keep you away from… certain missions.” Brave looked at her crossly “I’m not saying it… you can’t make me.”    Sanguine laughed as she quietly wrote something down then showed it to him.   “An allergy to bees?  Did you hit your head?  I’m allergic to most bread.  Something about Rye and wheat doesn’t… “   He paused as her grin seemed to keep growing.   “You’re going to regret that later tonight…” the image teased.  The actual Brave just exhaled melancholically.  “No… I’m pretty sure she rather enjoyed herself that night…”   Sanguine continued uninhibited by the “threat”. 10. Are you right- or left-handed? “That’s easy.  Left-handed” 11. What does your voice sound like? “How do you expect me to answer that?!”  His tone was rather annoyed.  “And what Company or Militia would care?” His wife simply smiled as she began to read her already written answer.  “Brave's voice normally comes off as contemplative and melancholic.  His speech in typical conversation seems to only show confidence when confronting bullies, or when caring for others.” Brave paused as his sullen disposition was brought to light.  “Do I really sound melancholic?”  Sanguine failed to fight back a grin “According your mother, you only sound that way when I’m not around.” Both “Brave’s” blushed as she continued.  “I didn’t say you were only sad though.  Don’t forget the confidence part… I could edit it to:  Speaks confidently when he’s certain of things.” Her brow furrowed a little “But who isn’t confident when they think they know the answer?  Nope!  We’ll just have to stick with you being intolerant of bullies.” Brave’s alabaster skin seemed to turn a few shades of red as he brushed off her comment.  “Anyroad… shouldn’t we move on?”   Sanguine nodded in affirmation. 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? The male Roedagyn gave a trite snort.  "How about: ‘Stand down!’ then after a both parties have a chest thumping competition, have it be shortly followed by "One of these days, saying that is going to work."   The female helsguard seemed less amused “Well I won’t deny that outcome seems to be the more prevalent one whenever you try to use “diplomacy” but have you ever thought that your tone when offering a peaceful resolution comes off...” She peered at him as she recognized a look of true confusion then snickered shaking her head.  Sanguine dipped the pen into the inkwell again then jotted down the answer.  “We’ll just say ‘Stand down’ oh and let’s not forget ‘Get behind me!’you do love telling people to get behind you.” she stuck her tongue out at him.   The Roegadyn looked at his mate crossly “It’s to cover them…”   Sanguine nodded as she penned the answers in “mmhm” 13. What do you have in your pockets? Brave’s look of exasperation just didn’t seem to go away.  “You’re kidding right.  That can’t be one of the questions”   The hellsguard woman waggled her finger at him “Showing how prepared you are is paramount!  Now out with it.  What’s in your pockets?”   Brave groaned as he rifled through them.  “Let’s see… the letter you told me to always keep with me.” Sanguine attempted to hide her appreciation of that being the first thing pulled out. “Good… what else” He continued “Um… that’s it… other than some gil.”   Sanguine held out her hand then cleared her throat. Brave looked at her in disbelief “What…?  You want it now?  I just got this today.  You can’t still be waiting for me to pay…”  She kept her hand extended as he tossed the small satchel of coin to her begrudgingly.  The woman simply smiled.   “Ok… next question.” 14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?   Brave prepared to answer her question then stopped.  “You’ve already written something down haven’t you?”   His wife beamed “And here your father told me you wouldn’t be able to keep up with a relationship.  I’ll be happy to tell him he’s grossly underestimated you.”  Brave began to shakes his head as she read aloud her observation.  “He tends to bury his face in his left hand while rubbing his temples with his thumb and middle finger in frustration.  He’s also prone to sighing to himself and finding a spot to focus in a room when uncomfortable with a topic or situation.”   True to form he began to rub his temples “Thank you wife… for painting me in such an endearing light.”   The female hellsgaurd stood up and sauntered her way toward Brave with a mischievous grin.   “Woman what are you up too?”he spoke in a bemused tone, knowing what was coming, but reveling in the moment all the same.  She wove her fingers into his mane and started tussling his hair in complete disarray, the assault on his hard work ended with her gripping the back and directing his gaze to meet hers.   “You’re the only one who can get away with that… you know that right?”  He snickered.   Not answering him, she lowered her lips to meet his while he tilted his head to meet hers.   The two were still unaware of their captive audience… the Roegadyn who was stuck watching this “vision” from the Echo simply turned his head.  Waiting for them to finish… and wondering when the bittersweet torture would end.

(Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) I'm an open book when it comes to RP, one could say i experienced it all in some way or another. Though I do not like Permadeath, I worked hard on my characters, I would really like them to stay alive long enough to enjoy them.

Raised by hyur so does not understand X or Y = singular) Tau fits nicely into the 'raised by liars, cutthroats and thieves' aspect of the piratical nature of Sea Wolves. There was something that stopped his descent into governor's-daughter-kidnapping and town-sacking, however, and he's sort of adrift. But a Roe born and raised. What are your Rp limits, if any? (Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) Permadeath seems really harsh, unless it was planned waaaay ahead. But I'm totes down for anything. Whatever floats your boat that I in no way intend to steal.

Does your character fit the 'common' lore of your Roegadyn or are they singular?  I'm not all that familiar with the game's lore and am not sure where to look really since I haven't found a wiki or anything that goes into detail on the race. I do have a preference towards making my characters feel like a member of the race they belong to even if they don't end up in practicing all their race's cultural standards. My character grew up mostly by herself in the wild, although with help from others. She's not too familiar with how any race works but is most familiar with how fellow roegadyn's work and what their cultural standards are, even if that is not overall much.  3.  What are your Rp limits, if any? (Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) No ERP. I will perma kill my characters only if there is a storyline or RP leading up to it. I don't kill my characters off in bar brawls or by random muggers on the street. The same goes for anything that would permanently disable my character.Â

For the most part Oak is a proud Hellsguard through and through. However, she was raised through half of her childhood by a Sea Wolf, so she's a bit of a mix of both cultures. She knows life on the sea as well as she does life in the mountains, and while she didn't take to the former as well, she still respects it. 3. What are your RP limits, if any? (Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) If you want to do anything to or with my character that would be significantly life changing or physically or mentally scarring, please discuss it with me OOCly first. I'm not closed off to these things, but I want to make sure both sides are comfortable and on the same page. No permadeath. Anything super saucy will be faded to black.
