Ok so I got this this evening on the official forums.

Ok so here are are my questions.

1. How do I find out what I was banned for? I don't think I did anything, its not like I argue or cuss alot. I can't seem to find the mod section so I can ask.

2. More importantly, does this effect my game account, or just the forums?

I believe it is just the forums. They will give you a mail, stating the generic reasons for which you were suspended, how long you will be suspended and it doesn't effect your game time. They don't want to completely shoot themselves in the foot by suspending you from the game with your money still flowing in.

I got suspended from the official forums for 20 days for posting a video of 2 players teleport hacking all over the diremite mobs near fallgourd. 20 days and I didnt use a single curse word lol.Â

Naming and Shaming is def worth a 20 day ban for a very first offense but hey, at least those knuckleheads I recorded haven't been seen again.

In the last week I've only made three post and none of them seemed bad to me. Not that it matters I guess, that forum is a hole in the earth really. I'm just glad it won't effect me in game, I got stuff to do in there tomorrow, as do we all.

They'll ban people for completely harmless reasons.Â I got the same thing, and I suspect it was because I told them about their lack of foresight on Legacy servers and the housing issue.Â They don't like being "insulted".

And it will just effect the forum.Â If they investigate and find anything justifiable, they will email you as to what the alleged offense was.Â Otherwise, you don't even get an apology for being suspended if they find nothing worth banning you for.

Ok I got the letter and now know what I did. Honestly I had forgotten I had posted it. I guess I got what was coming lol. Looking back I say it was worth it.

I got banned for asking someone if they were dropped on their head as a child.

Apparently this was "discriminatory" language.

There was this guy who had posted 3 topics on how and why he was leaving the game because 2.1 wasn't fair and dumb and on and on and on. This is on top of the constant whining on that forum. So on his third topic of the day I replied with this.

The housing quit was one of many complaints. He made 3 "look at me I'm quitting" topics. Don't worry, I'm mad about the pricey houses too. I saved alot of cash for it and now.... nope. Anyway its not because he was mad about housing, it was because he was fishing for attention.

Side note - A lot of the people posting on the Beta forums never caught on, the rage war in the thread had it at 10 pages in MINUTES, and it was locked about 20 mins after it was created.

Fun to troll morons, but potentially costly. Not recommended.

I've gotten banned from the official forums, back during the CBT. It was for calling a bigot a "waste of oxygen" and "toxic". The mods there are almost as bad as the Nexus mods.Â Bomb

Was banned for a month for telling someone that I was going to feed his children to Svara.

Reason was "Death threats"
