I notice that when I use /e for a custom emote, it does not print my name in the text box, just the action.  Is that just my view?  I am assuming that it does not do this for others?  Or is there a different way to /emote in FFXIV?

Thank you muchly!  That was it.  I am so in the habit of just using /e, not /em.  It seems to make a difference here.
