I admit, I'm a very big ball of awkward. I don't exactly "stalk" anyone...much... (when I do it's people I know, and they are generally aware), but I pretty much always feel like everyone's too cool and experienced for me. ; u; I know what you go through, buddy. *pat pat*

I try to be sneaky about my creeping. I target the person, right click, Examine, then click away really fast to make it look like it was an accident if they notice my head turn. Then I have their equipment screen open and can turn, zoom in, and oogle in peace. I'd also like to second whoever said wiki's are a good way to creep too. I've gotten a few tells from non-RPers about Rinette's look and it makes me all giddy like all the time I spent in character creation didn't go to waste.

I'm sneaky like this, too. And sure, I like when I receive a compliment. It happens less often to us guys, I think, but I got a tell the other day from someone commenting that Yvelont and his "gurlfrand" look great together. Always nice when someone recognizes you didn't simply choose random options in the character creator!

I can't say I've creeped due to seeing a character that looks cool or whatever purely OOC to get a better look at 'em, but I have ICly followed a character like a creeper xD

Though admittedly, as I am concerned by my own personal upkeep (because lets face it, looking good makes you feel good. And I'm all about the feel goods), I do my best to 'preen' and make my characters attractive. Can't even begin to tell you how many hours and save files and doing and re-doing I've done to get my characters juuuuuuuuuuust right. It's a little sad only because the subtlety in detail is lost in game (partially due to the customization being a bit lacking in...customization), so kiiiiiiiinda a waste of time xD

Was that a tangent?

I knew I couldn't be the only person that creeps like this! When I see a handsome character I don't normally say anything 'cause I don't want them to think I'm hitting on them. I'm more likely to say something to couples then to a single person. But now that I think about it I don't see compliments to my character as being hit on so I should probably start letting the compliments fly!

So, uh, your Elezen is cute.

I tend to just creep on people IC sometimes. I often walk up to half naked males and ask "Aren't you cold..?" with a wink. I think most people like to be appreciated for their character's design, and clothes and such, I know I do.

I get a lot of comments about my character's butt, even though she's just a midlander gal. Actually, its mostly at the Grindstone. Like, every time I take her there :V There's also that guy that tells me Sophia looks like a sexy eroge/hentai schoolteacher every single time we run into eachother, because she wears the bun hairstyle and looks polite and proper. There was also a person poking her butt through /em, but I haven't seen him in a while...

So yea. I ended up changing her outfit to cover up her butt, lol. Don't know why people gravitate to it though, not like there was a butt size toggle :V

I think part of it's the impact of method-acting C'kayah, but I don't tend to have a problem with approaching attractive characters for RP. I'm also making a very conscious effort in FF to at least ping anyone who looks like they may be interesting to RP with (people walking, people with RP tags, etc).

Usually the thing that keeps me from approaching a character is more just the situation they're in: if it looks like someone is busy with some RP, I tend not to try to insert myself in it without at least an OOC /tell.
