Was an Elvaan in FFXI to start, always hated the way my huge neck and shoulders looked on the female white mage I made. Then got had a mithra thf, liked the animations so going with miqo'te to start in FFXIV. Also even though i'm male, the cynical and easy to bore personality fits myself in real life pretty well, so its easy to RP as one when I RP.

Whats funny is that I knew more guys that were mithra than women who were mithra in FFXI, so coming into 14, I'll be doing the same thing I did before. I will assume that every miqo'te is a guy until proven otherwise.

Isn't that a rule of the internet?
I seem to have lost my pie cutter.

I IS a female! And I think we are not that rare in mmo's. I listened to a great ffxiv podcast today talking about rolling cross-gender. I liked what one of the female co-hosts said: that if you see a female in a game being all girly and asking for help, gear etc. = that is a guy. Not sure I agree. I think being a jerk is not gender specific. It happens both ways. I don't care if a guy rolls a girl or a transvestite or a three-sexed alien: as long as it is lore-appropriate for the game they are playing and they play with some honor and intelligence.
As long as we get NO sparkly-skinned vampires.... Mia (a female in game and out and not real sure why anybody would care?) |

I agree on the Vampires part. I still don't understand how that even became popular.

Most guys that I knew who rolled mithras in XI did it mainly for the DEX. I quite lierally knew more guy mithras than female mithras. So, regardless of what is true or not true, if you are a cat girl, I'm automatically assuming you are a guy unless you show me proof.

And here is another reason that has little to do with questions of vampires or um glands of any type that I plan to play a Miqo'te. I just rescued the kittens below. Some idiot threw away a momma and six TINY kittens, all with blue eyes like their Siamese momma this afternoon on a road near my house. I hate people sometimes. My best friend is trying to hold them on her lap for the picture. Sorry for the quality: iphone near dark = not great pic.

Not that anyone will probably take interest in my input, but I feel obliged to say something! ^_^
Figuring out why I immediately chose Miqo'te takes some thought. I want to make it sound like some totally epic reason, rather than me just being like, "Oooh~ *Sparkly eyes* Kitty! -Childish point-" But that pretty much was it for me. D: How they looked. Being cats. That sort of thing! It's not very interesting, I just found no interest in the other races. I've never played an MMORPG that let me play as a catgirl (I didn't participate in FFXI. x, so the change seemed fun! Plus their bodies look amazing, in my opinion! I'm a little discouraged that there's so many, but maybe that'll eventually balance itself out! As for my choice between Seeker & Keeper, well~ I initially wanted to roll a Keeper, as I found their physical description super attractive! Rounded pupils, bigger ears, pronounced canines, etc! I watched both character creation videoes though, & liked what I saw better for the Seekers. :cat: After talking with a few roleplayers and planning out how relationships would develop between our characters, I thought a Seeker suited my character rather nicely! So that's what I've stuck with -- but who knows, I may spontaneously change my mind at gamelaunch! What a twist~ Anywho, I noticed a post earlier than mine & would like to comment on it! I don't care if people think I'm a guy or a girl, as long as it doesn't affect how their characters interact with mine. However, I am a girl, & there is proof on the 'post your RL pic' thread! Long answer is long! & Not too interesting! Thanks for taking a peek anywho, if you did! "The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen... and stupidity."
