First off, hello! I am most commonly known as Yattaru (or Yataru, though that is the older version of the spelling) and have run into a problem that I was hoping someone could help with.

I currently am the 'leader' (I tend to prefer 'person who started the FC' as I feel the FC is run by everyone in it, rather than the-I'm rambling, let me continue...) of a FC on Jenova. I was in the PS4 beta 1 as I did not have a computer capable of handling FFXIV, otherwise I likely would have been in the Beta 1 for PC. Anyways, I used to play FFXI as well and had a great group of friends who I RPed with. Unfortunately, RPing is almost unheard of in Jenova and I crave it as part of my playing. I have only recently decided to make an alt and pursue this craving, however, as I waited so long to do it, the two most well known RP servers (Gilgamesh and Balmung) have become full and are no longer allowing players to make new characters there.

So now that my tangeting is done, my question: Is there a server that I can find to RP on with at least some sizeable RP community since the best two are full?

Hello and welcome!

I could be wrong, but I think people can still get characters onto Balmung and Gilgamesh if they try during the right times of day.

I tend to wake up really early in the morning for work, so I've had no real problem making and placing an alt on Balmung in the weeeee hours of the morning. I've heard similar things from other people; it just seems to take some trial and error, and some patience/persistence. I've also heard that immediately after maintenance is a good time to try.

(But please correct me if I'm totally off the mark on this!)

I just made two alts on Balmung this morning at 6am my time (7am PST, 10am EST). Keep trying, you'll get it eventually. Big Grin

Also, I feel you on the rp itch! Hits me like a ton of bricks sometimes. Wherever you settle, I wish lots and lots of great rp upon you. Welcome to the RPC!

Thank you guys so much! I wake up for work around 5:30 am so I'll try then and I get home/off shift between u and 8 the next day, so I'll give it a try! I very much appreciate the help; wasn't sure if it was a permanent deal or what.

Second question; I'll browse these forums to look for an answer as well, but just in case I can't find one, any advice on finding a good RPFC on those servers?

If you check the Linkshells tab on this website, you'll notice quite a few FCs on either Balmung or Gilgamesh. In my opinion, a large majority of the RPFCs have some blurb about themselves there.

You can also see who is RPing, how they RP, etc when you join whichever server you choose and see what FC tag they have. After that you can send their leader a /tell or so asking about it?
