I'm purchasing FFXIV today (finally) and I'm planning to make a miquo'te for old time's sake. Does it particularly matter what name you choose ? I know there's a name generator but I didn't find any names that struck me as something I wanted to name my character that isn't. . . forgettable. If that's needed, can anyone give me a brief idea of how you name a miqo'te ?

Using these as examples there doesn't seem to be all that much sense in the names, just certain sounds and frequent use of the apostraphe. I'd say go with whatever you have an attachment to Smile

considering how races in FFXIV aren't holed up in one culture you could argue that any sort of name could fit.

Thanks for the link. And I figured Eorzea wasn't as strict upon culture as Vana'diel, considering their city-states aren't based upon race. I'll probably go with the latter, however.

One thing you have to remember with Miqo'te naming is that unfortunately, you can't add apostrophes into your avatar name, like many Miqo names use. I find this a silly flaw in SE's logic.

SE probably didn't take that into consideration because they probably didn't think about there being a very big roleplay community, or one at all. Which is mildly depressing. I got the game to work, however. I need to come up with a name then I'll start playing.

I tried that site before and I think I looked at pretty much all of the ones generated. I have a small list in my head of first names. No such luck on a last name.
