After a bit of a drought, we finally get some new character screenshots in the latest Letter from the Producer. And for those like me who are probably going to spend a few hours just in Character Creation..

"Although all races will be available from phase one of the beta test, not all customization options will be available. We're putting a lot of work into various options such as hair styles and colors (a whopping 192 shades are being planned!) based on feedback from the alpha test, and everything should be ready by phase three."

Very cool. Coming along nicely. I saw the character creation alpha video; I like their use of the Prelude song in it. I am going enjoy making my character very much with that music playing =)

I know, right! Can't believe some people on lodestone are saying she looks like a midlander in drag. Very optimistic now, the hairsytle she has is very similar to my GW2 Ustarte, just a little longer.

I don't think that'll be accurate.

There will still be an overwhelming abundance of female miqo'te. That will never change. Though there will certainly be a strong population of male miqo'te.

Yeah, Male Miqo'te are popular among people here, but that sentiment isn't necessarily shared outside of our community.

I'd say about 15-20% of the Female Miqo population will change to Male, and maybe 5% of every other race. I find it a bit funny that about half of my female friends from XI will be switching to Manqo'te, 10 years of Manthra deprivation at work.
