Hey guys i'm new around here names Kuji nice to meet you all. I been playing ffxiv for a while and wanted to make an RP guild kinda like a wolf pack rp and such.

I've been trying hard to get into NA Server "Balmung" for 3+ days now and no luck getting in.

Hey there!

It's probably not the post you'd want to hear, but currently, the only sure-fire way of getting into Balmung is to pay for character transfer[s].

If you've got a standard account, you can technically transfer all 8 slots under the same $18 fee.

Currently, Balmung's population is about twice the size of the next most populated server. (Which means it's absolutely over-populated). ...There used to be times of the day users could get in, which then became just after maintenance periods would end. Now, those are pretty much impossible as well because of the high load on the server (and the thousands of bots also trying to sneak in).

Yeah i hate bots, but yeah both balmung and gigamesh are impossible to get into to start my rp wolf pack company that i know alot of people will enjoy cause who doesnt like being in a wolf pack you know?

but any other ideas for RP Servers?

Jenova and Siren have some smaller communities, but Balmung's pretty much the only one where there's a large community of RPers and a lot of open-world RP.

We do have some Linkshells and Free Companies on other servers listed here as well. Listings should be fairly accurate because they're pruned every 60 days or so.

That's tough to say. I've been on Balmung since before A Real Reborn launched (back in 1.0, it was a server called Besaid and then server merges happened and then 1.0 died and 2.0 launched, etc).

I'm not entirely familiar with the other servers, since I've never actually done stuff on them.

Siren has an enjin site for their server's RP in general, but it's fairly inactive. (The RP there may be active though). SirenRP.com

I know that Jenova has a small rp community there, I even think they have some LS and FC listing here on the rpc. (I would link it back if I wasn't on mobile)

Most roleplayers seem to only play on one server, probably since time commitments make it challenging to maintain stories very effectively if doing RP on more than one server. Most roleplayers on this website seem to play on Balmung. Many of them transferred from other servers where there had been said to be small communities of RP, but they wouldn't be able to attest to the current state of RP on those servers (because they left them, so they don't have access to that information).Â

Probably about the only thing you could do is make a character on several servers and ask around in shouts in the main cities. Just be prepared that you might get a lot of hassling from players who don't RP and don't understand the appeal of RP.Â

Or, you could figure out how to scrape together $18 and transfer your characters to Balmung. One transfer fee covers up to an entire server load (8) characters at once. These days you can't even go to the movies for $18 if you want to have popcorn or a drink, so it's really not expensive, and IMO it's far simpler just to pay it and be on the server where RP is all but guaranteed, considering the only alternative is to spend a ton of time and effort scouring other servers for crumbs of RP that may not even exist. Sad

easyer said then done, already looked up and done alot of research on getting into balmung. but it still seems really dumb just how hard it is to get in. already spend 15 to play the game.
