"Calling all protectors of Eorzea! Unite for the greater good and volunteer to serve and protect the populace of Hydaelyn. We are looking for all knights, paladins, champions of justice, and protectors of friend and family!"

Hydaelyn Protectors is a loose order of volunteer knights working together to defend the citizens of all nations from the unsavory thugs, slavers, and oppressors that live among us. Characters who wish to volunteer with the Protectors can look forward to working in groups with other Protectors out on patrols or raids against strongholds of villainy. Martial training and tournaments with some of the finest trainers in the land. Investigating community requests for assistance and rendering help where possible. We also focus on chocobo mounted combat and riding.

Interested characters can find an advertisement posted in all major cities on the job boards directing them to our headquarters below or to send correspondence to Deahfel Pharasma or Faelette Auberlaint. Once interest is expressed one can expect to meet IC for a brief meeting and a swearing of their Oath of Protection.

To submit a request for IC Hydaelyn Protector assistance please send Deahfel Pharasma or Faelette Auberlaint a tell. You can also stop by our Protector headquarters in the Goblet Ward 3, Plot 58.

Rules:

Your character must be of a somewhat lawful good orientation and have a desire to help and protect others.
Come as you are. We are a loose affiliation of knights working together from different backgrounds. Whether you fight for a personal code or the command of a deity. As long as you are using it to help people you will be at home among us.
You must uphold your Oath of Protection as your character would interpret it while working on behalf of the Protectors.

This LS is a good fit for characters who are:

Protectors, Knights, Paladins, Cavaliers, Squires, Honor Bound Warriors.
Crafters/Traders who would keep the Protectors well prepared (Armorers, Apothecaries, etc).
Chocobo Centric characters who work closely, train, or rear chocobos.
If you don't fall into one of these categories but this sounds interesting to you send us a tell or post below and tell us more!
We are also recruiting information brokers/gatherers who are reputeable and would ally with the Protectors

Events

We normally host weekly scheduled events that are posted in our discord server (foundÂ HEREÂ )and it is strongly encouraged to join that to stay up to date with our plots.
We also coordinate a lot of impromptu meet ups and RP run ins. You never know when bad things are going to happen so we use that to respond quickly to IC requests for aid.
Our events are driven by all characters (even our villains!) in the linkshell and you are free to submit your own and get the Protectors involved in your own plots as well.

Thursday 1/12 8PM EST

All available knights are requested for the following duty. Meetat the Tempest Gate outside of Limsa Lominsa at the date and time posted.

â€œA struggling chocobo rancher on the outskirts of Cedarwoodis requesting assistance after the Maelstrom refused to hear him out. A local gang of thugs called the red sashes has threatened to steal his prized thoroughbred chocobo if he does not pay them off for protection. The request stated they would be back in 3 daysâ€™ time to collect. The rancher has no way to pay this exorbitant demand and is seeking any assistance in fending off these thugs when they arrive. The Hydaelyn Protectors have chosen to answer this call and render assistance in this matter by protecting the ranch.â€

"Responding to a request for aid from an elderly chocobo rancher, the Protectors gathered outside of Limsa to ride to Cedarwood hoping to beat a gang of thugs to the ranch. Arriving just before the coming trouble, the Protectors were able to establish a forward watch and secure the rancher's prized racing chocobo inside the ranch house. Soon after, a large group of men wearing red sashes were spotted on the path just north of the ranch approaching quickly. The Protectors, still hoping to resolve the situation peacefully, allowed the red sashes to approach and attempted to parley with them. An ostentatious man stepped forward for the sashes demanding even more gil or the bird to be turned over. As the negotiations seemed to come to a halt, he reached into his cloak and produced some kind of alchemical potion that produced a large cloud of smoke obscuring the house and signalling his other forces to begin the ambush on the house and scouting position. Two of the sashes infiltrated the ranch house from the rear where they found the well prepared Protectors waiting for them. At the forward scouting position, the Protectors scurried for cover as the sashes unleashed a barrage of arrows. Chaos erupted in front of the house as a large melee ensued.

When the smoke cleared, the Protectors had successfully fended off the ambush and protected the ranch and its occupants. Several prisoners were captured and brought to the local authorities for trial. However, the ostentatious leader of the red sashes was not found in the aftermath. He seemingly fled the scene under the cover of the smoke."

"A quiet afternoon at the Protectors' HQ was interrupted as the familiar face of Kasi Nebuko entered. She was quick to alert the Protectors to a quickly devolving scene just a few blocks away in the goblet where a woman was being mugged by a group of thugs. The protectors quickly readied themselves to respond and made their way to the scene. Arriving on the mentioned street corner they found the muggers carrying the poor woman off on their shoulders. Attempts to diffuse the situation failed as challenges and insults flew.Â

With tensions rapidly rising, the real plan of these mischievous thieves was beginning to unfold back at the headquarters. With a successful diversion created by the muggers, a lone thief was able to infiltrate the house and relieve it of a few of its treasures. As quickly as he had stolen the goods, he made his escape leaving little evidence of his activity.

Meanwhile the commotion down the street began to draw some attention as neighbors and passerby congregated to see what all the ruckus was about. The Protectors moved in decisively engaging the muggers. Both sides fought valiantly, but ultimately the Protectors won out subduing each of the criminals and binding them for arrest.

Just as the Protectors were handing over these criminals to the Brass Blades, a confident Elezen man arrived on scene. The man identified himself as Croix commanded instant obedience from the brass blades. Quickly ordering the freedom of the muggers and earning the ire of the Protectors. The man seemed beyond reproach, threatening to call down the wrath of the brass blades if he was harmed. Tensions were high as the muggers and Croix escaped the scene without further pursuit. The Protectors seem to be accumulating adversaries at an alarming rate!"
