This may have been asked before - if so, I apologize.Â

But is there a way in-game, or a database on the web that allows me to see what an item will look like prior to me equipping it?

I really...really want to find a good look for Kat but don't want to have to buy 1000 things to do so.

I'm not sure there is a way to be honest. Not unless a model viewerget's made. I would recomend maybe asking frends to trade armor to you to try on. Or find something you like and maybe keep a gear set as roleplay set? That's what I do. Big Grin

There has to be a way - other games have had item databases. I just wish there was a 'preview' option in game. Smile

Thank you for your suggestion! I'll keep trying stuff on, hee! The problem is that I'm ultra picky, and it seems that everything I come across I end up looking like:

-A Pirate
-A person from 1970 wearing a house coat and huge oven mitts. Wink

I just want a skirt and a belly shirt! And bare feet!

Well, a quick google search indicates: http://xivmodels.com/. According to the info blurb, you can import your character and see how things look, and even create links to show it off to other people. I'm too lazy to try it out though.

Just go to xivdb.com, look for what you want and click "view in 3d". It'll show you the model through the xivmodel thing without you having to sift through lists.
