Ever since I started playing this game and been through it, all the way to Lvl 50, I've began noticing something on my mind that only has been bugging me more with the increased time I spend just waiting around inbetween dungeon runs and it's something I wanna get off of my chest, yet I am afraid of it, because I think most people would consider it extremely weird.
Anyone have something like that?

Hrm, and interesting conundrum

I'm assuming its something opinion or thought related about the game (because if not there are likely better places to express it.), also there is a misstell thread if it was a gaff of communication.

While I know it can be harrowing speaking up on the forums perhaps finding a community (of a more close-knit nature) would serve as a good place to speak about it? A few of the common ones that people seem odd expressing (that i've encountered) have been:

Attachment to the persona of a character or one close to them, not just the actually pixels but the nuances of the relationship, be it brotherly ect.

A more literal fixation on the "appearance" of a character.
A sub set of that being, Hetero friends of mine have in more than one case said "ohe hey ___ looks good." blank being a male or female to match their gender.

Or perhaps I miss my step, there are of course ways to get around this, making a throw away account on reddit and using the r/ffxiv subreddit, posting it to 4chan /v/ (/vg/ ffxiv general is still strong iirc.) or sending a PM to people you trust/feel confident about.

Just some thoughts~

I think my "problem" would be both of those with a few other things thrown into the mix. My imagination has always been wild and vast, my desire for adventures and friends within such huge, and bad experiences with people too many to count.

So this game and it's people, and the chance to RP means even more to me to some extend, and I don't really know how to convey everything I want to convey and get off of me.

I would like to add that maybe Google is a good way to look up your concerns. If I am concerned about something, I have, in the past, looked it up on Google to see if anyone on any forums out there might have the same feelings or concerns. Usually I am pleasantly surprised to find that many share or have shared my feelings and concerns about whatever it is I am concerned about.

In other words, your so called embarrassing feelings, ideas or concerns may not be as weird as you think. However, I would always be careful about putting your ideas on a forum if you wouldn't be able to handle possible trolling or criticism. Just remember not to let the opinions of a few people make you feel bad about yourself. Find the average consensus of all people who give input on the matter. Don't focus on just the few who may think you're weird.

Not anything of the sort, but before relearning the market I thought it was best to spend 30k gil on buying two stacks of 99 hard leather. WOOPS

For what it's worth...no matter how special of a snowflake you may feel you are, or how unique your circumstances or feelings may seem....you'd be utterly shocked at how many people share your experience.

There are folks to talk to out there, even if they're not immediately apparent.Â One of those "woods for the trees" kinda things.

I run a free company that is literally half full of trans* people. I doubt very seriously that you're carrying around that kind of weight.

Unless you are. I mean it is possible (after all, half my free company is), in which case you should transfer to Balmung and apply to Unity. Big Grin
