The long ways home.

Anzu sat and waited calmly in Renna's room. They had talked until she finally fell asleep. Talked about their past and Renna's desire to go home. He smiled as he recalled holding her in his arms, the most precious thing to him, even the drool she left on his chest.

He waited and as he did he absorbed what he could of her room and the memories they had created here. He blushed at some of those but all of them he took to himself.

The door opened and Renna stepped in returning from the errands she had to run. Anzu stood lifting both their stuffed travelling packs, as always his heart skipped a beat when the radiance if his sunshine appeared.

"Are you ready to go home?"

She nodded and they left, two seekers into the morning sun.
