My only problem is the Shanoa inspiration.

Fuck Shanoa.

What's wrong with Shanoa? She was awesome. OoE is the best after Symphony in my mind.

Never been a character I could respect, Also castlevania Judgement may have made that relationship even worse. Would sooner show love to Sonia belmont

Whoa whoa, you're actually acknowledging that Judgement exists? What is wrong with you!?

Nothing. The mechanics were sound, the roster wasn't entirely broken, and the music was legit.

Aeon would be an infinitely better character than Shanoa if he had a legit Castlevania game.

The character designs would be great as alternative costumes, Although, Carmilla has her best look in this game by far.

I was just being silly, it's kind of surprising to see the same spread among Castlevania fans over which games are good or ok or total crap. It's the sort of diversity you usually only see in the Final Fantasy franchise.

I think we can all agree that Igavania is where it's at.

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Viola - 06-08-2015

Agreed, but to be honest I love most of the castlevania games with Bloodlines and Order of Ecclesia being my two highest on the list.

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - allgivenover - 06-08-2015

Bloodlines is a wonderful game, totally overlooked.
Really anything from the DraculaX era is good. Even if Iga had no hand in them, he perfected the franchise from that foundation.

Yeah... Castlevania is kind of a big deal for me.

Not a bad cosplay at all.

Probably would've looked more "in-tune" if the cape's lining was read instead of grey, but nitpicking.

I'm a huge fan of Iga, so this kickstarter ended up being the first I ever backed!

Happy to see it so successful and anxious for it to come out in the future.

Yeah, I can overlook the design for the gameplay. Iga iga.

Question; is that signature and avatar Morrigan from Darkstalkers?

It's exactly in tune with the source art it was replicated from.

It was a reference to his twilight cape.

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - allgivenover - 06-08-2015

I know, but I've never been a fan of it and Aya's art is what the character sprites were designed from, so... /shrug

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Viola - 06-08-2015

Fair enough. To each their own.

Funfact; When I first saw Miriam, I named her Rose. Then I found out she had a name.

Indeed it is

On the Alucard subject: Never occured to me, his sprite did not add up to his art, or rather that his art is reflective of his weakened state as opposed to his standard set.

But then again if the art went by in game, my alucard would be a coked up backdashing maniac in a snow white cloak swinging around a muramasa. >.>

Mind would be a shield wand weilding crackfiend (can't remember the upgraded version of the shield wand, it was a sword) abusing shield cancel backdashes.

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Manari - 06-10-2015

Shield Rod + Alucard Shield was my favorite way to break the game. But I've played SotN so many times and had to come up with different ways to handicap myself to make it harder just because I loved playing the game so much.

Igavania is the best of course. But I still loved classic Castlevania. Castlevania 3 was my favorite as a kid. I loved Super Castlevania 4 as well, but it was so easy compared to Castlevania 3.
