Now we just need to find out whether or not Hilda can have children herself to settle the next bit of debate that springs from having half-bred characters. Personally I loved what they did with her and want that hair style of hers BADLY.

What I found curious was her name. Her model is very obviously Midlander, but 'Hilda' is a Germanic name, and by all rights would suggest Highlander origin.

Perhaps she adopted it as a 'fuck you' to the Ishgardians, given the tensions between Ala Mhigo and Ishgard prior to the former being conquered?

Of note is the last paragraph in the journal. It seems to suggest that children born of noblemen and their maidservants are not uncommon, but of course we've no way of knowing how many of them would be halfbreeds as a result.

Considering they've had 3.0 story in planning for a while, I assume this means you had your idea since before Dec 2013?
