I decided Pouncival will have been born in the XIII setting, on Gran Pulse, in the year 500 AF (shortly before the End of Time). Gonna say he got pet by the Savior and had a spark of Chaos transferred to him, making his soul more like a human's than an animal's. When everyone else went to the New World, Pouncival was left behind in the Chaos. It was confused by him and couldn't tell if he was a cat or a person, so it made him both. After that, I'm going to say he's traveled through a few different worlds before reaching the lands of Eorzea.
At any rate, I have to run to the store and am not sure how long I will be gone. Hopefully not more than 2 hours, I wanna gaaame already.

I'm not going to stop you from doing this. By that I mean I have no means to stop you even if I wanted to. Instead I can only warn you that, even with the FFXIII crossover event, having characters jump from other settings is a massive faux-pas. A lot of players, myself included, do not like the idea of universe jumping. I'm not saying you'll never find someone who's OK with it. Who knows, maybe you will. I'm just saying, if you come to my character talking about being born on Gran Pulse, he's going to alert the local authorities of a crazy person at large, and that will be the extent of my willingness to engage you in RP. I, personally, don't even see the FFXIII event as canon. I want nothing to do with it in my RP. I'm not alone in this.
I hope you don't see this as me trying to bully you into changing your character. If your heart's set on it, do it. But I just want you to be aware that by doing so, you're sending out a certain message and limiting the amount of people who would be willing to RP with you.

Uh huh, uh huh. It's not as though I'd be raving about it, that's just silly. And mostly this is for some fun backstory for me, that would probably only ever come up outside of the write-up during personal arcs anyhow and even THEN still be fairly vague. That is, however, pretty far aside from the point. I'm just here to have fun, soooo I don't really care about the people for whom this would be such a major issue that they wouldn't play with me. They are clearly not the kind of people I want to play with. And unfortunately, that is exactly how it looks to me. So I'mma just ask you to kindly leave me be. :3
