RE: Animus Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Kellach Woods - 12-16-2015 HW has been pretty much "pointless end-game : the mmo" though. [...]Only to keep you subbed by giving you "something" to do when you're bored and have nothing else to work towards. To you as user, the weapons will be pointless except for further upgrade down the line (and glamour, prestige, yadda yadda). As a matter of fact, they already are largely pointless as is, Thordan weapons are better for many classes, considering the secondary stats and unnoticeable gain in weapon damage. BUT...it's the relic. Your very own weapon. At the current rate, possibly even your child. It's special. Don't you want it? Juicy, juicy carrot? It's right there. Just gotta do a step. And another. And another. You get the idea. There's no point in getting it. The point is to make you think there's a point in getting it so you try to and stay subbed. Edit: This is purely my opinion of course. Not claiming facts. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Steel Wolf - 12-16-2015 Personally, I'm stopping at the i200 step. That's better than the 180 weapon I have now, and is about as much as I'll be willing to put up with until the high from all the cocaine in Japan disspates from the eyes of the devs. As I type this, my husband and I are praying to RNGsus because he didn't get a BLM Zeta and I was hosed put of one because DRK. We're trying to keep our spirits up, and I think the dubgeons step will be fun because he has never run most of those before. Still....awrgh. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Warren Castille - 12-16-2015 After all of the work of repeating those dungeons at 50 to get the Zeta items, smashing them to itty bitty pieces at lv60 was a joy. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Nirri - 12-16-2015 If you aren't a crafter & gatherer.... You're fucked. Haven't done the old beast tribes.... You're fucked. You despise hunting... You're fucked. What you got left is Alex, farming law/poetics etc.. and about a quarter in your eyes will start to bleed. All you need is the nodules? Not to do it as the specific class? If so, I'm fucking laughing all the way to the bank. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Nirri - 12-16-2015 @Kellach. You can do that as any class much like atma's in 2.x relic. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Kellach Woods - 12-16-2015 Atmas required a relic weapon equipped. The reason why I ask is that I often level other classes through fates. since nodules are a key item... RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Warren Castille - 12-16-2015 Yes, I believe you can get them on any job so long as you have the quest flagged. The WoW MMORPG formula may have saved this game, but it's gonna kill it, too, one day. The RP community and the relevance of appearance to RP is the only real reason I stay addicted. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - V'aleera - 12-16-2015 I'm not sure what people were expecting that wouldn't have gotten complained about anyway. I mentioned earlier that you don't have to be lv 60 to get the crystals to drop. But you do have to have the quest. Which means you can pick up the quest, then later switch classes to one that isn't 50 that's more appropriate for the zone you're picking up crystals in. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Aaron - 12-16-2015 In a while you're gonna get a handout weapon that's just as good as the relic as ALWAYS. Don't need to do this unless you want to kill time. Or you're with a pissy static that will kick you if you don't have the latest weapon. And in a couple of years, you'll have vendor white armor that's better than Savage Alex gear. We're playing a hamster wheel MMO, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the wheel turns. RE: Anima Weapons and You: A Guide for Killing Yourself Again - Lydia Lightfoot - 12-16-2015 Pissy static sounds incredibly uncomfortable. Just saying. |
