Actually the hard H is pronounced almost all of the time. The accent is closer to Northern Scottish than the Cockney that you might be thinking of, but still not quite the same. Although he is rather flamboyant. Xefjord is somewhat a mix of Japanese, Scandinavian and stereotypical cocky nobility. RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Aerostein - 02-24-2015 Never thought about it to be honest. Maybe German. o: RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Gaspard - 02-24-2015 (02-24-2015, 01:11 AM)Volk Wrote:Now that's not very nice. уÑпокаÌивать(02-24-2015, 12:50 AM)Flynt The Hyena Wrote:(02-24-2015, 12:48 AM)Volk Wrote: Davai, Russies! /o/ RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Tiergan - 02-24-2015 I found out a few week back that "Vashir" actually means "Savage" in Farsi (most awesome accident ever! \o/), so I'm going to say that Tiergan/Lurial are children with a Persian dad and a mother from the UK who really had a thing for Celtic names growing up. RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Nako Vesh - 02-24-2015 I hadn't really thought about it before, but I think Nako would likely be from the Philippines, but I could see some African or Middle Eastern genes in there, too. I know that's a wide range of cultures and genes, but Nako would likely have a varied genetic background, I think. ![]() RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Wild Card - 02-24-2015 (02-24-2015, 02:05 AM)Gaspard Wrote: Now that's not very nice. уÑпокаÌивайтеÑÑŒ*Fixed (it was in invifinitive, I changed it to second plural) Irie is spanish. Even tho most of her hotblooded attitude'd left her due to previous experience, she still has some of it burried deep inside and come up to the surface very now and then... especially when someone tries to flirt with her. RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Kalooeh - 02-24-2015 Kal would be Irish-scottish Dheina would... probably be Indian or Pakistani I'm not really for sure Cardea, but main thing that keeps coming up is Korean, even though she's a tall as fuck dusk. Why Korean though is because she's based off my night elf in WoW, and night elves have a heavy korean culture influence. Otherwise I see her as being african/american. I don't know enough about african countries to be able to place her anywhere there specifically though. I'd want to say "Whichever place tends to be the one with the really tall women", but hahaha yeah that's not going to work. Sam would be like a Euro-mutt. Just a mix of a bunch of different shit. My others, I have no clue what I'd go with them :I RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Cercil - 03-11-2015 Cercil would probably be a cross of French and English. Chesparaux, as an origin OC, was solely named Chespar. He's a Slavic/eastern European cross of Russian-German-Dutch. You can just try imagining the accent. It's great. Esyltt (To-be Au Ra) would probably be Slavic as well, but I'm not quite sure what exact nationality she'd be. Arienette would probablyyyyy be Romanian. (As an origin OC, she technically has none due to her species) RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - cuideag - 03-11-2015 I am not super sure I could pin down what Jajara is because a lot of what I imagine traditional nomadic dunesfolk shenanigans would be like draws from South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African lifestyles and fashions and such. She might end up being Indian with nomadic Mongol ancestry. Shrug! Delial might be a Scot. She doesn't mind the English so much, though, and she might even go so far as to talk like one because why not? There are plenty of people in other countries who wouldn't even be able to tell the difference anyway. RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Jana - 03-11-2015 Jana's name and appearance may be very loosely Egyptian but personality-wise would be fine in any country with higher education. RE: Your character's OOC nationality. - Verad - 03-11-2015 I don't know. What national and ethnic stereotypes are there regarding blue elves?
