RE: Blacklist - Player's Last Method Weapon - Menelwen - 10-16-2014 The majority of those on my blacklist are all gil spammers. That said, my blacklist is full. I think I have four or five players on it from repeatedly being assholes OoCly. If I remember right, it's under character settings. Scroll down and you'll find an option to either limit, or turn other players visual effects completely off. RE: Blacklist - Player's Last Method Weapon - Seriphyn - 10-16-2014 I don't blacklist, because I prefer to seek avoid situations where that is necessary. One person blacklisted me because they didn't like my interactions with someone they know irl, and was very protective. While they had plenty of merits to their arguments, I felt there was some misunderstandings and misinterpretations too, and I really tried my best to work things out with him. I tried to be reasonable and acknowledge my faults in the matter, but what else could I do? So, it is what it is...except when they decide to mention the fact "lol I have kale blocked" in a public ls. Really, dude? You weren't even in the conversation to begin with, had nothing to do with you, and the drama was kept private until then. If you're gonna use the blacklist rather than try to resolve a matter, be professional about it. I'll play around with this later, but I'm pretty sure it's an "all or none" fix, and I don't want to disable non-party effects completely. I still like walking around and seeing and hearing life and the sounds of battle and such. Just those two in particular are most aggravating to me (Holy and RoT), particularly when spammed in a safe haven without any good reason. Would be nice if S-E would disable their functionality in Sanctuary areas but I don't ever see that happening. |
