Eorzea School - Caspar - 03-07-2015

The modern high school. The most cliched, painfully rote setting for a story ever.
Whether it is in anime or a 90s teenage sitcom in the West, it's a setting that most people connect with. Yet it's also a very stratified, cliquish and hierarchical stage of life.

I was getting nostalgic lately about the fighting game, Rival Schools, which is a triumphant example of the stereotypes we see in schools taken to their extreme. Then I wondered... what role would a character from this forum take in a school?

Jana's just a gloomy nerd who sits in the back of the class and doesn't talk to anyone, but still gets good grades. Probably sit by herself at lunch and such.

She'd probably get A+ in stuff that's all memorization, like history. She probably wouldn't outright fail anything but something like math, which is all calculation, would probably be a weak point. And the people who'd gather to her probably want something... Who knows?

Jana's response to a career counselor would be to find her a job where she doesn't have to talk to people. Maybe she can get away with something like a company's IT lady or something where she'll be surrounded by screens all day.

Sounsyy would probably be Captain of the Varsity Volleyball team. So preppy jock-girl?

PE and History/Social Studies. In PE she'd probably be the girl who tries (and succeeds) in beating the boys in number of chin-ups.

3. Your character fails a class. Boo! Which one(s)?

English. Definitely couldn't hack the grammar. Or the reading...

4. What sorts of people gather to your character? Are they popular or a loner?

She'd probably just clique with the rest of her Volleyball team. She'd like those wacky environmentalist group people as well. The ones who picket things. ...Maybe Sounsyy wouldn't be that popular. Oh god no, Mirke is a Yiddish name, everyone would make fun of her. ; ; Oh godddddd! Poor Sounsyy. She'd probably also get made fun of for sleeping with a member of her volleyball team. High school is rough.

5. Your character goes to future career counseling! What is their ideal job!?

She has no idea what she wants to do with her life. And the overwhelming overwhelmingness overwhelms her and she cries in the bathroom for a while. Probably smokes a cigarette in there too. Y'know, fer good measure.

Chemistry, biology! . . . any other -stry, -ology Laugh

Home ec! P.E.!

Her friendliness and eagerness to help brings people from each of the 'cliques' her way.. whether or not they aren't just using her for tutoring or actually befriending her is something she's not bothered by.

5. Your character goes to future career counseling! What is their ideal job!?
Doctor!

The slutty ironic cheerleader.

Psychology, Sociology, Drama

Anything taught by a comely, tightly-wound teacher that wouldn't allow her some much needed attention.

4. What sorts of people gather to your character? Are they popular or a loner?
She's a friend to most. What she lacks in a tight-knit social circle she makes up for in vauable, doting partnerships. 

5. Your character goes to future career counseling! What is their ideal job!?

She's kicked out of the office for hitting on the counselor for a letter of recommendation.

Frikken optimistic nerd loser.

Math, Physics, Home ec maybe.

Probably stuff like Social Studies, humanities related stuff.

I'm honestly not sure. I know for a fact he ain't gonna be popular at all.

Sports! All kinds of sports.

Anything even loosely related to crafting or arts. And if you want you school to not suddenly fuckin explode or burst out in fire, never ever let Irie into the chemistry room.

The non-existant ones. Srsly, she'd be avoiding social contacts like a plague.

Err.... maybe, something small, somewhere far away... Oh, I know! A lighthouse keeper on an island! That sounds great, doesn't it!?...Doesnt..it? *coughs*

Delinquent (Sukeban - Female gang leader.)

Physical Education

Chemistry, Social Studies and Home Econ.

Maybe some people who cling to her for fear of being bullied or beaten up by her, but probably not many. I could see her gathering a gang of other short but scary girls...

Formerly Physical Education, currently Chemistry.
3. Your character fails a class. Boo! Which one(s)?
History. She wouldn't be able to participate in Physical Education anymore either so that's either an instant fail or she'd have a free library period.
4. What sorts of people gather to your character? Are they popular or a loner?
Pretty much anyone honestly, she's the kind of character - that I've seen thus far - that can probably hang around with most groups, even though there'd be very few she'd be close to.
5. Your character goes to future career counseling! What is their ideal job!?
Formerly Police work or going into the Special Forces. Currently nursing or becoming a doctor.

The infuriating, untouchable, rich valedictorian.
2. Your character gets an A+! What class(es)?
A sound thrashing awaits Edda should she come home with anything less than perfection on her report card. Therefore, she aces all of them, except...
3. Your character fails a class. Boo! Which one(s)?
Physical Education. Shameful display.
4. What sorts of people gather to your character? Are they popular or a loner?
She is polite to everyone, and receives cautious respect from all in return, but that's about it. Has no actual friends.
5. Your character goes to future career counseling! What is their ideal job!
She does not need/attend career counseling. That has already been decided.

Overly cheerful, energetic and friendly girl!

Physical Education, Social Studies, Biology

Chemistry. Uuurk.

4. What sorts of people gather to your character? Are they popular or a loner?
All sorts of people! She's the type of girl who talks with anyone, be nerd, loner, wacko, just in search of fun! As such, one would think she can be quite popular.

Anything that involves traveling a lot!

That very quiet jock who, for the most part, doesn't stand out, maybe in tennis or on the basketball team.

Math, Physical Education, Social Studies

He'd most likely clique with his respective team, though he'd try and make friends with those that come up to him. Most like a loner.

Indiana Jones or working for a Private security firm
