In Game NPC Outfits - Erik Mynhier - 05-30-2015

While we here at the Red Wings do not require uniforms per say for day to day activity, they are nice and fun to have and set us apart as a Flames FC. Also they are fun for group pictures.... that said several people have asked me what are the uniforms and where can you get them. The answer to that question is the Flame Hall in Ul'dah, which sells all uniforms available to the player and will most likely sell future ones as well. Please note these do not count "Elite" uniforms as they are not for use by the Lore, but are prizes and intensives for Hunts which has shaky lore at best. After this show what you know. Help players new and old by listing NPC outfits here and what items are needed to recreate them for RP.

Non Commissioned Officers

Combat - NCO - Soldier

This is the standard combat attire of Flame Soldiers, or recruits and junior NCOs. Used by Private Third Class, Private Second Class, Private First Class, and Corporals.

Combat - NCO - Petty Officer

Combat uniform of Sergeant Third Class, Sergeant Second Class, Sergeant First Class, and Chief Sergeant, for use by senior NCO roleplayers.

Dress - NCO - Petty Officer & Soldier

The dress uniform of all NCO Flames (Flame Private Third Class to Chief Flame Sergeant). For formal occasions, there are no pants included in the uniform, Amateur's Breeches dyed Soot Black matches perfectly the colour and is an "ALL CLASSES" item.

Commissioned Officers

Combat - CO - Junior Officers

The combat uniform of Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, and Captains. This uniform has not been released but is expected in Heavensward.

Combat - CO - Command Officers

The combat uniform of Second Flame Commanders, First Flame Commanders, and High Flame Commanders. This uniform is not available to players at this time.

Combat - CO - Senior Officers
There is currently no example of a Combat Uniform for Rear Flame Marshals, Vice Flame Marshals, Flame Marshals, or Grand Flame Marshals, save for one Marshal seen in a mix of "Hunt Gear". With the current state of Ul'dah we may see the uniform at some point in the future if such a uniform exists at all.

Dress - CO - Junior & Command Officers

The proud uniform of the Flame's, this uniform is worn by officers of the rank of Second Flame Lieutenant all the way to High Flame Commander. Like the NCO uniform, there are no pants included, so Amateur's Breeches are used.

The dress uniform of the Marshal ranks, this uniform is sported by the Flame's upper officers. Not obtainable by players.


Chocobo Barding

The three bardings for the company chocobos actually coordinate to various owners in lore. Meaning each barding actually belongs to the rank of its owner.

I have to agree, The 'Elite' gear may be an alternative uniform available dependant on circumstance or maybe even unique to the Ala Mhigan front?

iirc the only person wearing a version of it outside of the Hunt Scholars is Pippin.

Yeah it was mentioned in the OP that I saw it, but since this was the only instance I saw I didn't list it, instead said I would wait to see until after 3.0 as I'm sure it will be reviewed as Ul'dah will have a major role in Heavensward.

That said I agree with both of you that it most likely will be the Elite gear, my only suspicion that it is not is the Item Seller wears the gear but does not seem to be a Marshal of any kind.... so wait and see right?
