Our Story
Having grown tired of seeing Eorzea and her citizens falling to the numerous threats that plague her people while those with and in power do little to stop it, Etienne Cimeaurant and Reina Townsend created the Arbiters to undertake the jobs that others won’t; to do what's needed to keep the people of Eorzea safe and to ensure that their needs are met regardless of their prominence, prestige or wealth.
We are a group of professionals that employ people of differing disciplines in combat and crafts to see to this task; a group of people willing to go to any length to see that what is right and good is done, no matter the cost. Alongside the leves and jobs offered by the adventurer’s guild, we also take on jobs that offer no pay other than a brighter tomorrow.
We strive to be the strength and courage that Eorzea desperately needs.

Our doors are officially open! We've already gotten some wonderful new recruits and are looking for more to help fill out the ranks!
RP Heavy - serious/grimdark tone.
PvE - a secondary focus, but one that still exists. Looking to fill out the rest of the slots of an 8-man group to be able to plunge into Alexander and beyond as a company.
PvP - not heavily focused as a company, but still encouraged for those who enjoy it!

August Update:
Still very much around and still recruiting! School (and work) is starting back up for some of our members so availability has taken a small hit, but we're still very much active in the evenings and looking for more to join us!
RP:
Several personal character stories going on and a company story in the works.
Weekly events that any and all members can join in and enjoy!
PvE:
Pushing through the content as a group as well as with others as needed.
Still looking to round out an FC Static. We have some members that are strictly OOC (for now *evil grin*) and welcome more if people are so willing!
We often have "retroraid" nights where we go back and wipe out the old extremes and turns.
Outside of FFXIV:
Plenty of members join together often and play games on Steam/Battle.net/etc.
We also often times have Cards Against Humanity nights.
Also, I hear talk of possible D&D starting up with the use of roll20.
So come join us and enjoy the madness that is Arbiters of Eorzea.Â

September Update:
August was a great month! We gained a few very friendly faces that we're very eager to see grow as individuals and with our company.
RP:
Many of our characters have developing personal stories and, as a company, our first story arc will be developing soon.
We were able to keep up our 'at least once a week' group event schedule despite all the crazy schedules our members kept this month and, if I do say so myself, each one was quite enjoyable and allowed our characters to get to know one another better.
We've got some more serious events planned this month and many community outreach events in the planning stages. I'm very excited to see these come to fruition! Keep an eye on our bulletin board to see the new contracts (events) we have planned. Once we work out scheduling we'll get them up onto our calendar!
Many of our events and RP in general happens out and about in the world! We welcome you to join us for the RP!
If you see a bunch of crazy looking people stanced with their weapons drawn and seemingly paused, give us /tell! We'll let you know what you're looking at- feel free to jump in!
PvE:
Ponies everywhere!Â
Though two of our PvE members had to move this month (and we miss them terribly!), we've still been able to pull in friends to spank some primals in undersized parties. It's our hope to continue to see these retroraids happen at least a couple of times a month.
Otherwise we're still pushing through the content as a group! Gettin' those lowbies leveled up!
We're still looking to round out an FC Static, but we're in no hurry! Don't mind pugging what we need!

October Update!
Sorry this is a bit late; the first week of the month has been busy and exhausting!
Throughout September we gained some pretty great members and we’re excited to see who will come along to join us this month!
RP:
Our weekly events continued successfully and we made the first steps in our company story arch which will continue to evolve over the coming months. Keep your eye on the bulletin board, journal and our Great Hall (forum RP and stories!) for more information regarding that story, our past adventures and more!
This month, we’re doing things a bit differently. We love to have our members involved as possible and in an effort to pull some people into the creative limelight, we’re leaving our calendar largely open for member (rather than leadership) lead events!! From what I hear we have some interesting things being planned!
October will bring with it our community outreach event! Sunday October 18 at 2pm (CST) AoE will be gathering in Ul’dah at the Gate of Thal on Sapphire Avenue to give away high quality gear sets to civilians and adventurers in need of items. Find out more, here.
Reina is desperately looking for a skilled and experienced surgeon to head the company clinic. Standards are high! Can you fill that need?
PvE:
Though we took the last half of September off from our bi-weekly retroraids in favor of RP and members continuing to level, we will be continuing the runs this month for those that need EX-Primal clears or a chance at some pony mounts!
Our fourth airship is up and running and we've FINALLY completed the final set of parts to gear our capped ships. Thanks so much to everyone who donated seals and items to help as Etienne has slaved tirelessly to complete that task for us. Bring on those explorations, Squenix!
Other:
Along with plans to increase activity outside the game via Steam/CoH/etc., we’ve started a Minecraft server using the FTB launcher and the Direwolf modpack! If you’d like to join us see Etienne for the details!
As always our Teamspeak 3 server is up and available for all members and their friends, we look forward to many more ridiculous conversations there.

My posts aren't as grand as Reina's, so do pardon the simplicity.
We're still around and still open to new recruits.
Looking forward to the coming patch. Taking one of our company airships out and about to explore... or even facing the dangers present in the Void Ark as a group... it sure sounds exciting and we're ready to do it as a group!
On the RP side of things we still have our weekly events as well as company plot moving along. A note on this: though we are a lore-strict/grimdark company, we are still open and welcoming to those newer to the world of FFXIV. So long as people are willing to learn and grow within the lore the game presents us, they are welcome as members of the company (assuming, of course, that their character fits the theme as well.
 )We also still have plenty of room in our OOC rank should there be any people out there that don't necessarily feel like they fit our company's theme, but would still like to hang out with us. The rank is also open to those who do not RP at all, so long as said members respect the wishes and gaming styles of the members that do.

December Update
We're still alive and kicking. We've gotten a few new members in our crew this past month and recruitment is still open.
RP:
We hold weekly events that vary in theme. Sometimes it's community outreach, sometimes it's clearing a den of evil, sometimes it's a simple pub crawl.Â
Our "company story" will be picking back up this month and continuing from where it left off. Now is a good time to join us and join in to be a part of the developments involved.
We're still in need of artisan (crafting and gathering) type characters as well as those types interested in research and development of any type. If you feel your character fits the bill and is the type of person to help Eorzea and her citizens, perhaps you should consider joining us.
Characters skilled in the medical arts (both physical and aetherical) as well as those fighty types are still welcome to apply and join. Â
PvE:
As a company, we strive to help each other a best we can with every PvE need. Be that running through MSQ dungeons and trials, tome farming, or even trying to get a group together for extremes and raids.Â
We also do a bit of "retroraiding" from time to time, going back to outdated content to not only see it, but farm it for glamors and such.
Etienne is being selfish and wants an in-house static group. I'm looking for people that are willing and wanting to run current content as a company. Our company has an OOC rank for those that don't wish to be ICly tied to us for one reason or another, for those that don't RP at all (though that makes me wonder why you're on this siteÂ
), and for friends of current members. Those interested in joining seek one of the officers out.Other:

The gifts were all wrapped, for members and friends,

The company had grown with leaps and with bounds,
Gathering members from all type of backgrounds.
She sat at the desk with the journal in hand
and looked over her lists of to-dos needing planned.
The boards were now empty, save one last retreat,
the work had been done, each job now complete.
Turning the page, she looked over her list,
It was important, of course, that no one be missed.
Remi and Lilly, Lazulle and Tieve,
Sol and Artoria, Kaz and Suzume,
Reina, Khal, Kyo, and Etienne
Mialyre and Ulrich and Sedalyn
Idris and Ulric, Sen and Eavan
“Reina, my love, it's nearly seven.â€
Reina looked up from her counting and nodded,
but she wasn't quite ready from her thoughts to be parted.
Applications and interviews, invites and linkpearls
It was enough to make just about anyone's head twirl.
And then a frown worked to sober her bliss
as she remembered those gone, some she dearly did miss.
On their reasons for leaving she did not dwell
But took a moment to hope they were all doing well.
She moved through the house to finish packing her bags,
her mind still moving through a list of their brags.
The numbers of citizens helped by their hands,
the threats they put down to better these lands.
They stood against mages, beastmen and plights
to judge and make certain wrongs were set right.
Injuries occurred and their skills would be tested
But they never gave up, they wouldn't be bested.
Though, their guardians and healers were not the only heroes
The generosity of their craftsmen and merchants did also overflow.
Gathering materials for days to craft into quality goods
which were given away to those with harder livelihoods.
Refugees and workers, new adventurers too
Their goal was to fill needs and they always followed through.
As the company grew and the needs began to vary,
The research and development team did not tarry.
Small explosions and smoke from their basement workshop
Through scoldings and evacuations progress wouldn't stop.
She chuckled and shook her head as she mounted her bird
patting its head as he turned his neck and then purred.
After the festivities they'd have jobs to be done
Contracts to finalize in just a few suns.
She looked over the house as she rode off with her mate
meetings with grand companies couldn't just wait.
As she rode through the Goblet her mind did churn,
What fate lies in store for the Arbiters this Heavensturn?

Happy new year! We look forward to seeing what the new year brings!
RP:
Of course we're continuing our weekly events! Whether it's a DM'd event, a simple pub crawl to relax, clearing out some baddies to protect some civilians, FATE inspired RP or the newly (or soon to be) added hunt RP, we're busy with something!
We have plans for our "company story arc"  to conclude this month. Schemes are already in the works for the next.
We've begun to expand the ways we work to help Eorzea and her citizens! The Arbiters have added the rank of "Ward" to their rosters and will now serve as a place for citizens in need to be housed and safe. Looking for a family? Don't think you fit into the adventure mold? Let us offer you a place to call home!
