Clever introduction title - SkyeTheKnumpty - 12-30-2015

Hello all!

I'm Skye and because I'm terrible at introductions I'll just copy paste from the template. ^.^

--MMORPG background
From about 2006 to 2009 I was crazy for Runescape (If that's even an MMO). I remember playing that all the time and having fun with friends. Oddly enough, after 4 years I only reached level 24 because I preferred experiencing the land and messing around more than doing...MMO stuff. I spent quite some time in the early days on an MMO called Trickster which I guarantee no-one remembers and googling it won't help you either. After that it took me a while to get back into the MMO mood until I got a beta key for ESO. The game was bad. The fact that all dialogue was voice acted and the graphics was pretty good, but all around the game was meh. Until I discovered RP. MIND BLOWN. Prior to ESO I played FFXIV with a group of friends for a while, back around launch. I eventually got bored because as
with Runescape I preferred to look at the pretties and blow all my money on fireworks.

--RP experience
Okay, things get pretty embarrassing here. Not NSFW embarrassing but more of "I was young" embarrassing.
My first memory of RPing was when I discovered the Neopets forum. Back when I was 10 I used to play it a whole bunch and the forum became this strange new world of people using *weird star emotes* and playing make believe. I only remember this Pokemon scenario I did where I made it super grimdark and it was weird. I jumped around some ACTUAL forum RP for a while after that until I discovered *cringing intensifies* Twitterponies. For those who don't know. It was MLP RP. On twitter. It was pretty great and even though ERP was a thing for some reason and it made me sick to even think of, the people were nice and it was fun for a while. Then I found ESO. Mind asploded. The community was HUUUUGE and there was so much to do and as an Elder Scrolls fan with large knowledge of the lore I made an imperial khajiit that spoke a language only a certain race could and had the ability to summon demons. Yeah, S'kai had to make a few changes over the year... After an AMAZING run in ESO which involved me becoming a part of the community and running really fun events everything died. But now I'm here! You guys aren't all going to vanish off the face of the Earth, right? Right?

--Character ideas/info
Keeping true to my legacy of having characters that bend the lore over their knee like that scene from Batman, I brought the amalgamation of Skye, a character I have in every game that's always slightly different, into Eorzea. All her story is so far is that she woke up in the middle of no-where with no memories and that she's trying to learn as much about the world as possible (so that I have an excuse for my pathetic knowledge of FFXIV lore). As for her past, I was reading up on the Wind-Up Brickman's pet bio and I considered having the FF Skye just S'kai from ESO. Yeah no. Scrapped that idea but stuck with the whole Aetherial Rift idea because "I got spat out of the sky." seemed like a good, easy backstory to me. When I made Skye, I knew she HAD to be a Lalafel, but she also had to be named Skye and seeing as they have weird names like OpaOpa and GomuGomu no mi I had to think of another way to slip around the lore slightly. So S'kye was found by a Seekers of the Sun clan of Miqo'te.

--How did you learn about the coalition?
The same friend who convinced me to move to FFXIV also showed me the coalition. I still have no idea what I'm looking at. (Well, I know what it is, but there's just so much new stuff to take in.)

--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?
I'd say medium to heavy. It depends on who I'm with. If it's a serious RP that's all dark and brooding, I can fit in, but I can also have fun and mess around a little. I'm the true neutral RPer.

--Anything from real life you'€™re comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc)
I'm studying Early Childhood Teaching! Right now I'm studying Childcare as a bridging course thing, but my endgame is to be an Early Childhood (Year/Grade 1-4) teacher because children are amazing.

--Introduction Junk

I recently moved to Balmung to RP in FFXIV after spending a whoooole lotta time in ESO. I've been RPing since 2010 and have been in all kinds from (completely embarassing "I was 12") Neopets forum RPies to creating my own events and trying to aid the community in ESO. After some bad times in ESO involing losing 80% of a guild in a week, I decided to move to FFXIV on the recommendation of a friend and old Guild Leader. So I'm here.

It's certainly different and a little overwhelming since I was so used to a whole other site and communit, but I'm still learning! I have to say though, one thing FFXIV has that ESO will never have is Moogles. I love Moogles. I love every kind of Moogle. I just wanna hug all of them but I can't. Moogle

Oh wow, this was meant to be my introduction, wasn't it? Uhhh...
HEY I'M TEMMIE IT'S A PLESURE TO MEET YOU AL!

Hello there, welcome to the RPC! Big Grin Moogles are pretty great. And it's okay, I started with embarrassing RP on Neopets, too.
