A very timid Hello! - Silvaria - 01-21-2016 Nice to meet you all, and greetings from Lamia! I am a casual to moderate roleplayer, depending on how much energy I have that day. I have played Everquest II and Star Wars The Old Repbulic prior to this. I've RP'd on forums for about three years, filled the gaps with RPs in messengers, and casually RP'd in previous MMOs, totalling for about 5 years experience. I also write a lot in my spare time. My character's name is Khuma Relanah, and she just wants to have a nice life of gardening, making friends, and helping people however she can. A pretty simple day surrounded by plants sounds just fantastic, but she can never feel right relaxing and leaving everyone else without help. She's always ready with a word of encouragement or, failing that, a bad pun to try and relax everyone else. She's never really got much money to speak of due to just dumping whatever she has on other people, but that suits her fine. I have a lot more details on both Tumblr and her (in progress) page, but I'm not going to just throw those all in this intro pos to save you the time. I heard about the coalition by accident a few months after starting up XIV. I wanted to sign up, but I've always been too nervous to draw attention to myself by actually doing anything. Then other people I knew personally got here, and, well, tada! With that (hopefully) changing, I'm looking to be here to stay! Just... on the edges of everything, probably. As I stated before, I'm pretty casual to moderately involved in personal RP. I'm usually in character when I'm doing things and running around, but drop it pretty quickly if someone else asks me a question, since I don't want to be an inconvenience or seen as weird. Almost all ACTIONS are based on in-character dealings, but aside from that I'm pretty sparse on it at the moment unless approached in an RP environment. As for the person behind the character, I have a chronic illness that makes it... REALLY hard to keep a consistent schedule or energy for just about anything, and a crudton of social anxiety on top of that. Interacting with people I don't know is hard, but if you send me a message and get a slightly delayed reply, it's me trying to work myself up to answering. I'm super into raid content because challenge is fun, but again the illness thing makes that hard getting my own groups together, and spend a lot of my time playing RPGs and fighting games. My favourite games are Dark Cloud 2, Tales of Xillia 2, Persona 3, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, for a change of pace. I look forward to talking with you all, if I can! RE: A very timid Hello! - Roe Dad - 01-21-2016 Well howdy and welcome! RE: A very timid Hello! - Achana_Sonozaki - 01-21-2016 Welcome! RE: A very timid Hello! - g0ne - 01-22-2016 Welcome, welcome! Glad to have you join us! The community here is lovely, you'll meet lots of nice friendly people who are always willing to help. So never hesitate to speak up. And don't be timid. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone! You're a spoonie! A chronic illness warrior! You've got superpowers not many others have! (I'm lupie myself, so I understand!) So, once again, welcome! Hope to see you around! RE: A very timid Hello! - Warren Castille - 01-22-2016 Hey, we're all nerds and dorks here. Dweebs aren't allowed, but I think there's some paperwork in motion to get them visitation permission. Welcome to the RPC and the general community located inside of it! It's pretty diverse here but we're all passionate about the hobby. There's also a chat client at the bottom of the page where some folks hang out and talk pretty much all day! RE: A very timid Hello! - Surilian - 01-22-2016 Welcome! RE: A very timid Hello! - Silvaria - 01-22-2016 Thank you all so much for the welcome, everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to figure out things well enough here! |
