LEYLINE EXPLOSION ROCKS THE GOBLET
Though other sources blame a gas leak, our ace reporters sniffed out the truth behind the disturbance in the Goblet earlier this week.
No gas leak could have caused the superficial destruction scattered about wards 3, 5, and 7 of the Goblet, nor the damaged foundations in ward 8. Work to restore the areas to their former splendor has been incredibly fast, but even construction workers agree the furrows they were filling were more likely caused by an irresponsible use of aether.
The Thaumaturges' Guild denied any involvement or knowledge of the incident and refused to comment further.
Our intrepid reporters, however, scored an exclusive interview with a resident of the Goblet's third district, who had much light to shine on the disaster.
"See, it's all because everyone thinks they can put the aetherytes so close together!" said Trennan Redwood (61), "There were already too many here and they were weighin down the ley real heavy-like, and then this fad springs up about puttin in your own personal aetheryte on your front lawn! You know who came up with the personal aetheryte? That's right, the Garleans! They planned this all out, and you mark my words they're laughin their legatuses off as we speak!"
