Need a launching point IC and OOC - ClearCubes - 03-06-2017
I have made a couple posts and stated each time regarding my lack of RP experience. I'm worried that aside from walk-ups and other things that other more established RPers may be hesitant to take a chance with me.Â
Anyway, Wyznwyta is new to Eorzea and has little experience or knowledge of the land beside what he has gleaned from his books. He generally spends his free time alone fishing but is growing more restless as he hasn't had the chance to speak to anyone in a while.
There is more info in his wiki but I feel he needs some sort of starting point to push him in one direction or another. Either someone feisty and talkative to contrast him or another quiet soul that he might find joy in quiet thought out conversations.
Since nothing has happened as of yet there is a blank slate that I am trying to figure out. He isn't one to walk-up randomly so I would like to arrange some scenario to meet a friend, influence, stranger, could be anything. That or I will try hunting out and explore some of the taverns and inns among the Goblet and see what unfolds.

Given that Wyznwyta is interested in books and knowledge (or at least that's the impression I get), it might be worth taking a shot at one of the FC's based around that as a central theme. The two that pop to mind foremost is Azeyma's Oath (an FC based around relic hunting and research) and Guiding Light (which is a bit of a newer FC, so there are opportunities to help this one grow- and they're mostly about knowledge and research).Â

I have seen these FCs thrown around a few times and I should probably take the leap. Its not unlike Wyznwyta to bite the bullet and join an organization such as these.

 Feel free to message me, and we can set something up.Otherwise, I'd take a good, hard look at the list of FCs and see if there is one that he would have even a remote chance of fitting in. That's how I've always gone about finding my RP buddies in the past. The worst thing that could happen is that he doesn't really fit in, and then you can just try a different one.

Looking over Wyznwyta's wiki, I'd say Kasi's ShroudLife linkshell would also be an excellent choice to pursue. The linkshell is more or less a gathering place for people who wander between/outside of cities to facilitate rp away from cities. For a city hater like Wyznwyta, I'd say that's probably your number one pick, flavor-wise.

Hey Wyznwyta,
I would be happy to throw Deahfel your way as she can contrast pretty well with quieter characters and can get things instigated more easily. Other than that I would be glad to set up a meet up with Azemya's Oath or C'io from Guiding light as I am in contact with them pretty regularly and we could approach that from a work perspective.
I also have another contact who is the quiet knowledgeable type and I think you two might mesh well. So let me know and I can get you set up either way!

Rather than spam the thread with responses first let me just say thank you! Its overwhelming getting to see such friendly and welcoming faces as a newcomer.

Chidori might be someone good to meet! She tends to babble and talk about all kinds of things. But she also likes to sit and draw quietly as well.
