Au Ra Help... - Kaiverta - 08-16-2017 I will soon be sketching an Au Ra! Woohoo! But I wanted to ask (and this seems like the best forum for it?), does anyone know exactly where those horns attach to? It APPEARS like they're attached to maybe the jaw line, or just under the bottom of where human ears would be, sort of? Wanna make sure I get it right. ![]() RE: Au Ra Help... - Akeno Asukai - 08-16-2017 (08-16-2017, 01:03 PM)Kaiverta Wrote: I will soon be sketching an Au Ra! Woohoo! They attach at the point as human ear canal would be -- the actual opening of the ear itself. If you need a reference, use the Character create in-game and go with the "conch" face (you can see it in my avatar) and the really short hair which came out with Stormblood (which has one side braided/shaved). RE: Au Ra Help... - Six - 08-16-2017 I draw mine stemming from where the ear canal generally is and if they're big wide boys they might extend into the jaw and temple. ![]() RE: Au Ra Help... - Kieron Lohengrin - 08-16-2017 https://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=au_ra+official_art RE: Au Ra Help... - Kaiverta - 08-17-2017 Thanks everyone. All your answers helped a lot. It DOES look like they're sorta anchored to the ear canal either singularly, or along with an anchor point on the jawline. Woohoo. ![]() RE: Au Ra Help... - Fox - 08-17-2017 (08-16-2017, 10:20 PM)Six Wrote: I draw mine stemming from where the ear canal generally is and if they're big wide boys they might extend into the jaw and temple. Partially the reason for the multiple horns has been from the various little hair styles that have them BUT; it's also in part to the concept art which was quite lovely. But yeah this is about right, it's how I've drawn them as well generally in the vicinity. ![]() ![]() |
