Salvius Dunois Spoiler: show Part 1: The Basics 1.What is your full name? "Salvius Rene Dunois" 2.Where and when were you born? "Somewhere in Gridania, 19th Sun of the 6th Astral Moon, 1543" 3.Who are/were your parents?  (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) "Mother - Chenelle Dunois - retired medical assistant - 5 fulms 10 ilms tall, blind in both eyes due to a accident so both eyes are a white or dull grey. Long white hair and had a tattoo marking on her face. Kind hearted and quiet having a soothing voice and a passion to care for those in need. Father - Garen Dunois - master blacksmith - 6 fulms 10 ilms tall, dark blue eyes with crimson shaded hair. Has a scar on his face as well as a similar tattoo to his wife's. Over all a gentle giant, he can be harsh when the situation calls for it. Works almost none stop." 4.Do you have any siblings?  What are/were they like? "Yes one, a elder brother known as Rique Dunois. From what I remember, a prick for the lack of a better word. Completely full of himself and had a ego the size of a large Roe." 5.Where do you live now, and with whom?  Describe the place and the person/people. "Limsa Lominsa, mostly just renting a place for the time being. Though I would rather be living anywhere but here. Currently sharing the rent with another, an agreement that was drawn up more or less on the spot while at work one afternoon. Hrm... actually his name slips my mind at the moment, neither of us really chat too much and he tends to stay out till the early hours of the morning. It is just a small house, two bedrooms and a living area. Enough to get by and allow both of us to go about our own business." 6.What is your occupation? "Farm hand, exciting I know. Work is work and this is about as honest as it gets around Limsa." 7.Write a full physical description of yourself.  You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. "6 fulms 5 ilms tall, 185.6 about average with being slightly toned from working daily. Elezen Duskweight with shadow grey skin. Dark choppy cut crimson hair with white going along the center, dark blue eyes. My dress tends to be pretty casual. Though with how things have been recently I found it has required a bit of adjustment in my attire, mainly being a chest protector and some other light plate armor additions to allow work to still be accomplished. Three scars on face, one across the right eye, one just barely off to the left of my nose and the third being on the lower left jaw. A handful of marks and scars on areas that are normally covered by everyday clothing.  I do have a tattoo, though it is normally covered as well being on lower abdominal section. Also there is still a burn scar on the palm of my right hand and wrist." 8.To which social class do you belong? "Lower? Is my social class really that important?" 9.Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? "Metal allergy, besides that none that I am aware of. Physical weakness? I don't do well around water or in confined spaces if that counts." 10. Are you right- or left-handed? "Right" 11. What does your voice sound like? "Normal, heck if I know I don't commonly think about how to describe it." 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? "Not sure about any I use frequently. I do make a few sounds more common then not when annoyed or dealing with something I'm not sure of." 13. What do you have in your pockets? "32 gil. What, you think I'm joking?" 14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? "Oh boy... want a list here? *smirks weakly at the thought* Well there is the whole fear of water, disliking of small spaces. I do tend to be called weird from time to time though I am not sure if that is the area I live in or if I actually am strange in how I act. I also get told I'm a workaholic... I personally just think I keep myself busy, not that some couldn't find that annoying I suppose. Ah yes a bad habit of mine, I tend to eat every chance I get, I have my reasons for this." Part 2: Growing Up 15. How would you describe your childhood in general? "Average I guess, not like I was a prodigy child or anything." 16. What is your earliest memory? "Burning my hand on my father's forge. Lesson learned, listen to your parents." 17. How much schooling have you had? "Enough, I should go back sometime though I did finish all of the basic classes." 18. Did you enjoy school? "Not really if I have to be honest. It bored me, sitting there listening to some instructor babble on and on about things. Though I wish I had paid more attention to those things now." 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? "The smiting was from my father mostly, before he fell ill anyway. The rest was from experience. Life has a way of forcing you to learn skills you didn't think were important till you needed them." 20. While growing up, did you have any role models?  If so, describe them. "Yes and no. I did always want to join the guard that were in charge of watch of the town, just for the fact that they always seemed to be there when they were needed protecting those weaker then themselves. So I guess not really one person so to say." 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? "I got along with my mother better then my father or sibling. In a way I guess I was a bit of a mamma's boy." 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? "Hrm..." *thinks on that a moment* "For a while I wanted to be just like my father, though at one time or another I think I did get the crazy thought of becoming a dragon tamer or something." *shrugs and laughs at that thought* 23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? "Lots of things, running about, playing. Normal kid stuff. There were a few things that weren't as common place I suppose. I did rough house from time to time, also I was known for wondering off. I use to love to explore." 24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? "Charismatic, energetic, obnoxious, I'm not sure how I survived my childhood actually with how carefree I was." 25. As a child, were you popular?  Who were your friends, and what were they like? "Popular, no not really. I had a small group of close friends. A mix of other Duskwights and Wildwood Elezens. They were normal, I don't really remember what exactly they were each like, it's been years when I last saw any of them." 26. When and with whom was your first kiss? "Probably sometime back when I was eighteen. We'll just say I had a tendency to end up places I shouldn't have been at that age. I don't even remember her face anymore, not that it hardly matters now." 27. Are you a virgin?  If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? "What is this a autobiography?" *sighs a little* "Is as far as I know a option? There have been a few times that the drinks have gotten the better of my common sense and to say the least the next morning I was questioning how I ended up where I did." 28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.  If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. "What type of question is this? Making it sound like mages are not common place. But lets see guess we shall go with the normal option if I can call it that. A lot of thinks influenced me over the years, kind strangers, a drive to make a name for myself. Funny how things end up in the end isn't it?" Part 3: Past Influences 29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? "Probably leaving home, the best and worse decision of my life." 30. Who has had the most influence on you? "A older Hyur I met sometime back when I first found myself in a bit of trouble after leaving home." 31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? "Not giving up when I had every reason to roll over." 32. What is your greatest regret? "Not making amends with my family, never leave home on bad terms." 33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? "Most evil? I started off on a bit of a rough streak so if someone was in the way and it was a order to take care of them, it was done. Maybe I should start making a regret list." 34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? "Unofficially, as I said before there was a bit of a rough patch I went through and you have to do what is necessary to survive." 35. When was the time you were the most frightened? "When I first left home, by all accounts I should not be breathing at the moment. I was a child still even at the age of 16, thinking I knew the world and I could make it on my own. A group that met me on the road proved how native I was. Being left for dead in the middle of no where and with no one knowing where I had run off to." 36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? "I knew this was coming." *Inhales a bit mulling over the thought on how to answer this* "I was about 18 I think, long story short I ended up getting into a bit of trouble and being blatantly oblivious to it. Some chatting and drinks later (no one questions your age down some alleys and in the clubs) I found myself in a bit of a predicament. For starters it was pitch black, cold and I couldn't move to save my life. I've no idea how long I was out or even how I ended up where I was, all I knew was that I was in a crate and by he tossing about I was either on the worse built wagon known to exist or on a boat. As luck would have it I was on a boat, in the storage bay with the rest of the shipment that the vessel was carrying. Half thought I was going to die in there as some smart ass nailed the top shut, let alone there seemed to be a few other crates on top of the one I was in. Sooner or later the ship made it to the docks where everything was unloaded. course this also meant someone figured out one of these shipment crates didn't weigh the right amount or something, by that time I was pretty out of it. Not exactly the first impression I wanted to make on anyone of being found half bound in a shipping crate in nothing but my small clothes." 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? "One thing, one thing... ah yes. I'd change who exactly I called friends back when I was younger. I think it would have spared me a mountain worth of trouble in the long run." 38. What is your best memory? "Getting a steady job, no more worries on where the next rent was going to come from or how I was going to afford food the next day." 39. What is your worst memory? "Sort of answered this already but I'll repeat myself. When I thought for sure I was going to die. So many thoughts ran though my mind at the time. Worse thought in the world of dying and no one would know." Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions 40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? "Optimistic, once in a while I might sway." 41. What is your greatest fear? "Water, end of story. No? oh I should explain on this. Well We'll just say having a elder sibling meant that time together was not always (ever) enjoyable." 42. What are your religious views? "Not overly religious, sure I say a phrase or two to the twelve but I can't say that I go planing my life around them and their beliefs." 43. What are your political views? "I tend to stay out of such conversations. Most of them leads to one side barking the other is wrong. Yeah staying out of it, have enough to worry about without getting in the middle of things like that." 44. What are your views on sex? "To each their own, I already hear enough stories from the drunkards I hang around with at the Drowning Wench. As long as whoever is involved consents then what issue is there? My personal thought is that there should be more of a meaning behind the action rather then just on a whim. As I said to each their own." 45. Are you able to kill?  Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? "Yes I can kill, not sure I would still be breathing myself if I could not. None really, though it seems to happen enough if someone is trying to take your life that you would do best to take theirs first." 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? "A number of things, someone thinking that they have the right to decide who lives and dies might be at the top of that list. Actually thinking that someone has control over another in general isn't exactly a healthy thought now is it?" 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? "Maybe? Could be possible, wouldn't know personally. Maybe I'll let you know if i get any proof to say one or the other." 48. What do you believe makes a successful life? "Live life to it's fullest. Cliche saying I know. But that's what I think, why complain if you are happy and comfortable with how your life is?" 49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? "I tend to be pretty honest. No reason to hide things, well... ok there are some reasons to hide things." 50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? "A few i'm sure, I tend to not let them cloud any judgments on those I meet. Well I try hard not to. Can't really think of one that I dwell on the most at the moment.  Doesn't everyone have at least one or more of these anyway?" 51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances?  Why do you refuse to do it? "Just one thing? I have a few that I can name off the top of my head. Harming innocents for starters, already have that in my past haunting me. Pretty much anything that should be common sense (or I would think they would be). Ah I know one, swimming. You want a reason go back to my dislikes list." 52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? "Friends, family, probably both being common answers. I'd rather others not suffer if I can help it. Though I'd also rather not die either if that could be helped as well heh." Part 5: Relationships With Others 53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)?  Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? "I like to think I treat everyone the same unless given reason not to. So pretty openly, in a way it could be called polite. As I said i'm pretty open with most, though sometimes I am a little cautious if I am unsure of someone. Of course this changes as I get to know someone. If I didn't trust them before I probably would in due time, plus it's easier to talk with someone who you know rather then just some random stranger." 54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? "As of the moment not sure there is a most important person in my life. There are a number that I wouldn't want anything to happen to but that's not the same thing I suppose." 55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? "Even if I didn't get along with him I would have to say my father. Despite our disagreements he still was one of the hardest workers I have ever known and worked up from almost nothing into holding a respectable reputation." 56. Who are your friends?  Do you have a best friend?  Describe these people. "Sure I guess, I hang around with or talk with the group I work for/with. Not sure I'd say I have a best friend, most seem to come and go before too long." 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other?  If so, describe this person. "Neither as of the moment, almost the shortest answer to this interview." *laughs a little* 58. Have you ever been in love?  If so, describe what happened. "Sure, puppy love maybe. never really connected with anyone long enough or rather that they stayed around long enough for things to go beyond that. As far as how things went, they were one sided. Young and dumb I suppose." 59. What do you look for in a potential lover? "Being easy on the eyes wouldn't be asking for too much would it? Seriously though just someone who would be open and honest." 60. How close are you to your family? "Distant, very distant. So much in fact that I can't really recall what town I actually grew up in or even how to get back there." 61. Have you started your own family?  If so, describe them.  If not, do you want to?  Why or why not? "Heh, isn't the answer to this obvious? No I have no. Would I want to? Sure someday, though that requires finding someone now doesn't it? As far as why, that's easy. Don't most want a family or to settle down at some point or another? I don't see it as a unreasonable dream." 62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? "Over the years of staying in Limsa I seem to have become a favorite to the children growing up there. No idea why they are drawn to me but some of them would probably look to me for help if they needed it. Actually a few times they have now that I think on it." 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you?  Who, and why? "To protect me? I like to think I can handle that myself. I suppose if I am part of a group or organization I'd like to think that I could trust them to do so if it is needed. At the least to watch my back." 64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? "That is a very good question, I'd like to say my family but I'm not sure if they ever figured out I went missing in the first place. I'm sure there are some that I work for that would miss me, at the least I can get to work on time and not cause any issues." 65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? "Eh... despise is a strong word. I'm not very fond of whatever group nearly killed me when I was younger. Or whoever decided that stealing my possessions and shoving me into a crate was funny..." 66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? "Avoid conflict. I can get a bit of a short temper in a argument so I try to avoid them at all costs." 67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? "Maybe, never been presented the chance to attempt this. I'm pretty content with following most of the time." 68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people?  Why or why not? "Depends on the people, if its a room full of over prideful Elezen's then no." *chuckles a little at that* "I tend to do well in crowds, though odds are I'll mainly stick to a small group and socialize with them, large groups can make it hard to actually get any meaningful conversations in." 69. Do you care what others think of you? "Not really, I grew use to odd looks and snide remarks when I was younger. Completely ignore such things now so they can think what they will." Part 6: Likes And Dislikes 70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? "Exploring, being social in general. There is also cooking, I do enjoy that, compared to my other hobbies that might be the more relaxing one." 71. What is your most treasured possession? "Dose a minion count? Not quite sure what I'd do if that little cherry bomb stopped trailing me around seeing how long he's been by my side no matter what." 72. What is your favorite color? "White." 73. What is your favorite food? "Any type of fruit pastries, not kidding here.. I have weaknesses. Besides that I'm not really picky." 74. What, if anything, do you like to read? "I don't read much, I do every once in a while, mostly being articles of news in the area from time to time." 75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? "Watching the drunks yell at one another till it comes to blows. Seriously there is some of the most absurd lines you will ever hear being spouted from someones mouth." 76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs?  If so, why?  Do you want to quit? "Smoking no, tried it hacked up a lung. I'm good thanks. I do drink from time to time, bit of a light weight though so normally only in good company. The drinking is more of just social drinking, it's good to break tension. As far as quitting, I could I suppose though it isn't a problem so why would I?" 77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? *rubs the back of his neck a little* "Was that a question? I know you asked me if I use drugs but I'm starting to wonder if you do." 78. What makes you laugh? "Normally, lewd jokes tend to do it. There are a few other things, snide comments at times. I have a bit of a spot for dark humor as well." 79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? "When someone wastes food, obviously they have no idea what it is like to go without." 80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? "Well I'd certainly get more work done if I had this problem. I do go through minor bouts where I am unable to sleep from time to time as it is. Who knows I always did wonder what went on in the world during the hours that I was sleeping. It would give me a excuse to go find out and wish I hadn't later." 81. How do you deal with stress? "I try to avoid stressing in the first place. One day at a time. Though over the years I have found that cooking can be quite relaxing. Or if it is something weighing heavily on my thoughts banging a hammer against a anvil works wonders..." 82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? "Plan? Yeah right. when I plan things they never go the way I want them. So I'd say I'm pretty spontaneous." 83. What are your pet peeves? "Certain noises, one being loud chewing." *seems to shudder slightly at the thought* "It just makes this annoying repetitive sound..." Part 7: Self Images And Etc. 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you.  How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? "Normal day huh, get up go to work, once that is done return back to town and seek out any other forms of work that might be posted up. After that everything is pretty up in the air, either I'm working or I get dragged out by some of my co workers to the nearest tavern. If this is disrupted then well.. I suppose I'm ok with it? Work on farms are never done so I'd be interested in seeing what would break at least that routine." 85. What is your greatest strength as a person? "Hrm, not sure really. Never had to think about it." *shifts a little in the chair.* "I'm reliable, besides that I'm not really sure." 86. What is your greatest weakness? "Too pessimistic, I tend to shrug most things off without a second thought." 87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? "Getting rid of that fear of water would be great given where I live." 88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? "Extrovert." 89. Are you generally organized or messy? "Organized mess? Is that a option here? I know where things are thus I see no issue how things are arranged." 90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. "Lets see good at would be cooking, blacksmith and talking. Bad would have to be..  fishing, any form of magic.. um.. talking about myself apparently heh." 91. Do you like yourself? "Sure, whats there not to like? A good looking - ok I'm not that full of myself. No I do like myself, might as well I might be the only one who dose." 92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?  Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?  (If so, detail both sets of reasons…) "I like exploring, plus it serves as a distraction from the area I live in. Being surrounded at all times by your worse fear is not pleasant. My real reasons? I happen upon certain ... events, yes we'll call them events and I help if I am needed. I don't really go out and seek such things I just have a knack for getting roped into things." 93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? "The most? I don't know... I suppose prove that I did something with my life instead of wasting it away. Even if that is just a family and no one remembers whatever tale I happen to spin between now and that time I wouldn't mind too much." 94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? "If all goes well, still alive." *Laughs weakly before clearing his throat* "Really though, in five years... a lot can happen in five years. Maybe I'll have a place of my won by then or be away from Limsa." 95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? "Well.. that is a bit of a morbid question isn't it?" *frowns a bit at it* "Well I suppose of old age would be the better option. Too many reports of people going missing and being killed off before they really had a chance to do anything." 96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. "Still on the death streak here? Alright alright. On the spot like that I'm not really sure. Well finding a new owner for that cherry bombling that follows me about might be a good start. Past that nothing really important. Get some drinks and down them while watching the last sunset I'll see. I could do something more reckless but I think i'd rather go off on a good note." 97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? " 'Hey whatever happened to that weird guy that we worked with?' Hrm, do I want to be remembered? If someone remembers you for the good then someone remembers you for the bad too. I don't know, I'm content with not being remembered, I never did look to put my name in a history book." 98. What three words best describe your personality? "Responsible, energetic, cheerful" 99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? "Care-free, hard-headed, workaholic" 100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?  (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…) Salv dear go out into the world, doing the same thing day in and day out and you'll be doing it till the day you die. Take on the world because I know you can do it. RE: 100 Questions to Ask About Your Role-Playing Character - Martiallais - 07-08-2013 Awesome to see this here. Alothia's 100
100 Questions to Ask About Your Role-Playing Character
Part 1: The Basics1. What is your full name? Alothia Oakenwave Starkwood 2. Where and when were you born? The 29th day of the 6th Astral Moon 1546 3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) Emet and Auginae Oakenwave. Emet and Auginae were originally from the tribes, but decided to leave and start a new life, which included taking their own names and ditching the life that they had known before. Emet was a Carpenter and Auginae was a weaver, and they made their gil by doing odd jobs for the people of Hyrstmill, having built a small house in the Shroud near there. The two of them were very much in love, but had to work very hard in order to maintain their lives, so they didn’t have much time for Alothia. She was often seen playing with the children of the village, often without supervision. 4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? Lini Oakenwave is Alothia’s sister. Alothia didn’t know much about her or her personality before she left, as Lini was only a baby at the time. Lini is ditsy and vapid, she talks a lot, and quickly. She often asks stupid questions and has to be told things more than once. 5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. Alothia is currently residing at Para’s house, with Para. Before then, before the Calamity, Alothia lived with the various members of Corvus in their building on Sapphire Ave. in Ul’Dah. 6. What is your occupation? Do gooder extraordinaire. She’s a business owner, dipping her fingers into as many jobs as possible. She believes in giving everyone a chance to excel at what they do best, and hires many different people. 7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. Alothia is a tall miqo’te, standing at 5 fulms, 6 ilms. She is not heavy, but is not slender either, being full at the bust and the hips. Her skin is pale, but not deathly so, with large purple-grey eyes and a smile that cracks her face in two. 8. To which social class do you belong? Alothia is a comfortable middle class. She believes in treating those around her well, and so she often will give more money to others instead of taking the larger portion of the profits for herself. 9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? No, Alothia is generally in good health. 10. Are you right- or left-handed? Right 11. What does your voice sound like? She has a deep, full voice, but it is still feminine. She can often be heard chortling or chuckling loudly. 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? “Oi.†“Twelve!†13. What do you have in your pockets? Ink and quill, notebook, gil, daggers 14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? Alothia tries to find the best in everyone and in most situations. She laughs loudly and often, and will turn most anything into a joke, using innuendo quite often. She often comes across as being too good, which I suppose could be quite annoying in the long run, but there are reasons for this. Part 2: Growing Up 15. How would you describe your childhood in general? Alothia’s parents wanted what was best for her, but often did it at the sacrifice of time with her. She was often pushed to the side so that her parents could work or take care of the baby. She was resentful of this and left home at 15 because of it. 16. What is your earliest memory? Watching her mother’s spinning wheel spinning, and hearing her mother sing while she worked. Alothia loved to hear her mother singing. 17. How much schooling have you had? One of the things that Alothia was pushed to do while her parents were working was to study. She learned how to write and read, and how to do basic mathematical equations. 18. Did you enjoy school? It wasn’t so much school as working with a tutor, but Alothia saw it as a challenge, and one she wanted to conquer. 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? Growing up with the children of the village and after she left home, Alothia learned a few street smart skills. She learned how to wield a dagger and how to hunt and fix food to eat. Skills any teenaged scamp should know. 20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. Not really. Alothia just wanted to NOT be her parents. 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Alothia loved her family, but resented that she didn’t get enough attention or time from them, so she up and left. She said hurtful things to her parents before she did, making sure to burn bridges with them. 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Successful? 23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Pickpocketing, rough-housing, reading and writing 24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Alothia was a very charismatic child. She had everyone convinced that she was innocent and good, while sneaking around and doing shady things in the background. 25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? Alothia was very popular and led a small gang of children. They were poor and looking for guidance, and they found it in her. Together, they managed to steal things and beat people up, all while maintaining an innocent facade. 26. When and with whom was your first kiss? A young hyur boy from the village. She doesn’t remember his name, or much about him. 27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? No, most certainly not. Alothia lost her virginity to one of the men she had come to become associated with in her 16th year. His name was Wil, and he was a gentle soul. She broke his heart. 28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. Alothia’s past haunts her to this day and causes her to be the “good†person she tries to be. Those questions should be answered in the next section. Part 3: Past Influences 29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Probably the day that she discovered all of the horrible things that she had been doing really had an effect on other people. It was her lowest point, but enabled her to be better and do the right thing. 30. Who has had the most influence on you? Mr. Starkwood. He’s the person who took her in when she was at her lowest and enabled her to start over again. 31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? The founding of Corvus. It was a place where she could build a new family around her, and create a safe place for people who needed it. 32. What is your greatest regret? Not patching things up with her parents before they died. 33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? Extortion. Murder. Forced prostitution...the list goes on and on. 34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Nothing that can be traced back to her. 35. When was the time you were the most frightened? Either when Zenge was being badgered by Oskar, or when Nel was being tortured in front of her eyes...or when she remembered what it felt like to have power over people during the Vultures training exercise. 36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? She doesn’t get embarrassed easily...I will have to get back to you on this one. 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? She would give up the life that she lead once she left home. Become a legitimate business owner from the get-go and work on making people’s lives better, not worse. 38. What is your best memory? 39. What is your worst memory? Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions 40. What are your views on sex? Alothia is monogamous and wants her partners to be the same. She believes that you love who you love, and within the bounds of your relationship, you have to discuss what goes and what doesn’t. She also doesn’t care if you are gay, straight, whatever. Sex is an integral part of a relationship to her, and talking about it can be fun/amusing. 45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? Alothia has killed before, and will kill again. If you threaten her or her “family†she will not throw out that option. 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Torturing others or harming others for fun is the most reprehensible offence. 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Nel- someone she would lay her life down for. Zenge- even though their relationship ended, she still wonders if he is safe and well. Para- her boyfriend. They’re caught up in quite the tumultuous relationship. Leanna- a young Lalafell that Alothia has taken under her wing. She sees a strong sense of spirit in Leanna. Lainseworth- a Lalafell that Alothia thought she had lost, but now has back. Burgenheim- A large, fabulous Roe whom Alothia looks up to figuratively and literally. 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. Para. He’s a young hyur, with a good heart and a great personality. They play well off of each other, giving each other a hard time and joking around. They have painful pasts and can understand each other’s troubles...it’s a passionate relationship, but there is definitely more than just physical attraction at work there. 58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Numerous times. Oskar was Alothia’s first love, and she was blinded by it. He tore her to bits and left her hurt. After Oskar, Alothia fell in love with Zenge, a friend turned lover. They were together until just before the Calamity, at which point she vanished with the rest of the time skippers. Afterward, she met Para, and was swept up in his life. 59. What do you look for in a potential lover? A good sense of humor first and foremost. She wants someone that she can be a partner with, with some give and take on both sides. 60. How close are you to your family? Not very. Alothia burned her bridges with her family when she left home, but did start to establish a sort of relationship with her sister the year before the Calamity. 61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? Not yet, but Alothia is very interested in starting a family. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Any one of her aforementioned friends. 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? Again, any one of her friends. A good joke, anything that could be considered dirty in nature, the discomfort of friends (but only when it’s in jest...never in earnest) 79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Remi's 100 questions!
*Sits herself down on a stool, crossing her arms under her chest and slipping one leg over the other, ready for the questions* Part 1: The Basics 1. What is your full name?    "Remilia Levana." 2. Where and when were you born?    "Within Gridania, my nameday is the 4th sun of the 6th Astral Moon." 3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)    "My father was an adventurer, though he retired from that when he met my mother, and she was a songstress. Personality-wise, my father would have been.. Hm, “Brash†or “Courageous†I suppose would have fitted him. My mother was graceful and pretty relaxed." 4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?    *Shakes her head* "I do not." 5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.    "I’m staying with friends right now… I’ll let you imagine what that means exactly." 6. What is your occupation?    *Chuckles a bit* "Ah~ “Adventurer†I guess? I quite like the sound of “Treasure Hunter†though. Let’s go with that." 7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.    "Write one of myself? …That’s an odd request, but okay." *Scribbles down “Perfection!â€* ((You can check my wiki if you really want >u> )) 8. To which social class do you belong?    "Hmn.." *Rubs her chin gently* "I’d place myself pretty firmly in the middle-class. Although I did spend a number of years in the upper classes of society." 9.Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?    "None." 10. Are you right- or left-handed?    "I am right handed." 11. What does your voice sound like?    "Ahaha~ It’s pretty normal I suppose? I was told I can sound pretty sultry though." 12. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?    "No." *Smiles sweetly* Part 2: Growing Up 15. Which puts me a fair degree above most others." 18. Did you enjoy school?    "I did enjoy my schooling, and without it I wouldn’t be where I am today." 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?    "Aside from the tutoring I received growing up, I’ve picked up a lot from many different people. The most memorable individual who taught me something completely out of my field was a lalafell locksmith, with a bit of a drinking problem and the inability to keep his hands to himself." 20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.    "..My father, at least recently. He used to tell tall tales of his earlier adventuring days, boasting of having seen all corners of our little Eorzea. I used to like hearing them, and after his death I liked to read books about that sort of thing." 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?    "Very well, I think." 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?    "I can’t remember." 23. I met some children around my age who I got along with quite well, but we fell out of contact." 26. When and with whom was your first kiss?    "Ooooh~!" *Laughs, scooting herself to the edge of the stool and lowering her arms to grip it for support* "Now we’re moving onto the slightly more juicy stuff, I was wondering when this would come. My first kiss, was with one of the house maids when I was fourteen." *Sighs whimsically* "She was older than me, pretty, but demure and the type of girl you want to take advantage of, you know?" 27. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.    "Where I am today is… well, it’s all because of the people I’ve met. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?    *Sighs heavily, blushing a little before laughing* "I lost a bet, and with it my clothes. The rest should be fairly self-explanatory." 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?    *Raises her hand from the stool edge to make a finger gun, closing one eye and aiming* "I would have aimed five ilms left." 38. What is your best memory?    *Lowers her faux gun and shrugs* "I have plenty of fond memories. Most of them are rated 18 though, so I can’t say them here." 39. What is your worst memory?    "There was a very large Roegadyn, who had clearly eaten more than their fair share of dodo steaks, wearing a subligar more suited to a Lalafell whom for reasons unknown to me was performing motions that weren’t particularly flattering… It’s either that or my parents’ death. But it’s close." Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions 40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?    "Pessimistic. I throw in a sprinkle of optimism every now and again to spice things up." 41. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?    "I can kill. I rather wouldn’t, but if it’s me or them… it’s going to be them." 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?    "Horrible, horrible things. I’m not that evil, but what I am capable of imagining is enough to make me squeamish. What truly dark people can do, I can’t even begin to compare to." 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?    *Cheerfully grins* "I don’t, I think the idea is nice. But love isn’t like that." 48. What do you believe makes a successful life?    "Eating well, having people you love and people love you… And Gil, lots of Gil." 49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?    "I’m fairly honest, with myself more than others though. I’d rather make myself happy than them, and I’ll keep things that I want to keep secret, secret. I’m no different than anyone else." 50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?    "LOADS" 51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?    "Kill myself, and because that would be silly." 52. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)?     "I treat others with the respect they deserve." Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?    "Of course it does. I love my friends, I hate my enemies. I’ll treat them however I want." 54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?    "Hmn.. My friends? They give me motivation when I need it, and without them, who would I pester when I’m bored?" 55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?    *Glances to the right, shrugging again* "I can’t really say. I respect a couple of different people… but I feel things like that mean more when they’re personal." 56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.    "Gospel Gestalt, as he calls himself, is a Hyur with a talent for the arcane. He’s a learned man, good at academics and with a knowledge pool that could put most scholars to shame." *Beams a grin* "He’s pretty cute, and I’m determined to have him wear a cute dress, a little bit of a makeover, and he’d put a lot of girls to shame."    "There’s Victorica Amaranthus also, she’s Gospel’s… assistant, or maid or something."    "There are others, too, but I haven’t made contact with them for quite some time." 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.    "I do not, at present." 58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.    "I have, but past loves aren’t something I like to dwell on. Let’s move on." 59. What do you look for in a potential lover?    "Many, many things. I’ll admit my standards are pretty high, but my tastes are broad. Miqo’te and Hyurs are probably more my thing than others if I’m honest… I’m more an attacker than a receiver." 60. How close are you to your family?    *Lets out a really quiet moan* "As we have established by this point, my parents are dead." 61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?    "I am not ready to settle down. I’d like a partner someday, but I don’t know when that would be." 62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?    "…Gospel, whom I mentioned before. Although I usually try to make do on my own." 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?    "Not more than I’d trust myself. When it comes down to it, people will put their own lives first." 64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?    "Victorica… Gospel, I think would notice once he put his book down. Oh, and I have a chocobo, Crumpet, he’d miss me." *Nods assuredly* 65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?    "…Whomever it was that made the Subligar such a widely accepted design." 66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?    "I would largely consider myself fairly laid-back, and I prefer not to get involved in confrontations… Though the occasional tussle can be pretty enjoyable." 67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?    "Nooo~, no. I’d prefer not to be responsible for everyone’s health and safety, thank you very much." 68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?    "In my experience, large groups increases the likelihood of interacting with complete imbeciles. Unfortunately it’s also the best way to get to know new people." *Shrugs and chuckles half-heartedly* "So sometimes you have to." 69. Do you care what others think of you?    "Of course." Part 6: Likes And Dislikes 70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?    "Reading, drinking, sleeping and eating." 71. What is your most treasured possession?    "Mn… My body?" *Laughs* 72. Do you like yourself?    "I think I could be better, if I’m honest." 92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)    "I want adventure. Less well known is that I seek eternal youth." 93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?    "As I said before, eternal youth." 94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?    "With more Gil to my name than I have now." 95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?    "I don’t plan on allowing that to happen." 96. Spoiler
1. What is your full name? Kannadi Aranmula Albedo. Perfectly serviceable, I think. 2. Where and when were you born? Ul'dah, Second Sun, Fifth Astral Moon, Fifteen Forty-Six. Takes up quite a lot of space when spelled out, doesn't it? 2nd, 5A, 1546. There. 3. Who are/were your parents? Torrent Albedo and Avani Lahar. One a dashing museum curator who personally owns most of his display, the other now a priestess for Ul'dah's Nophican community. I shall let you infer who is whom. 4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? No. 5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Alone, in a quite comfortable domicile on Garnet Street. It's pleasant and quiet. I doubt if any non-natives even know where to find it. 6. What is your occupation? I have several. Ecologist, writer, Second Lieutenant... 7. Write a full physical description of yourself. Tallish. Healthy. Shades of brown. Gray eyes. Modest wear. That is all. 8. To which social class do you belong? Advanced, let's say. 9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Milk. Not a simple intolerance, but a genuine allergy. It makes my skin... unpleasant to be in. 10. Are you right- or left-handed? Both. But I favor right, for ease of writing. 11. What does your voice sound like? Describing sound in letters is like telling the blind what color is. 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? All of them, when necessary. 13. What do you have in your pockets? That's hardly any of your business. 14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? No. ... Though I suppose my bearing may seem strange by contrast to some. Part 2: Growing Up Show Content
Spoiler
15. How would you describe your childhood in general? Comfortable. 16. What is your earliest memory? Cloth. White and blue cloth. Presumably that which I'd been swaddled into. 17. How much schooling have you had? More than sufficient, I'd say. 18. Did you enjoy school? It was my life. Even now I'm still learning, though my lesson plans are my own. 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? By doing. Theory isn't ever enough. The guilds taught me enough that I filled in the blanks with reasonable ease by practice, self-examination, and further practice. 20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. My grandmother. Powerful, wise, formidable to foes and kind to family. 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Well enough. My friendliness with my cousins was... hit or miss. But I never lost respect for my parents or grandmother. 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Friends with every monster. Now I'm content with studying them. 23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Reading and nature walks. Swimming, when I could. Riding, when I couldn't. 24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? The same that every child did, I suppose. 25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? Popularity was a by-product of work, and not its goal. I had friends, and they varied, but I left social climbing to the insecure. 26. When and with whom was your first kiss? A friend, in school. You will learn no more. 27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? No. And you will learn no more. 28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. Â If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. ... I beg your pardon? Magic is not supernatural. One could argue that trains and ships and airships are more outside the realm of nature than is aetheric manipulation. Part 3: Past Influences Show Content
Spoiler
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Offhand, I'd say being abruptly catapulted five years into my future. 30. Who has had the most influence on you? My family. Father, Mother, and Grandmother too. 31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Thus far? Cultivating a reputation of efficiency in attaining prompt results. 32. What is your greatest regret? A private one. 33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? If ever I chose to practice evil, the question would be wholly unnecessary, as my reputation would undoubtedly precede me. ... That was a joke. Aha-ha. 34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? No. 35. When was the time you were the most frightened? My youngest cousin once confronted a basilisk when I was not in a position to help. I thought he would die before my eyes. He did not. 36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? You may take your pick of any of the woefully many incidents involving Miss Xenedra and a bathing suit. 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? Nothing. I want for nothing in my upbringing. 38. What is your best memory? A private one. 39. What is your worst memory? Also a private one. Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions Show Content
Spoiler
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I am basically realistic. I cleave to optimism when it is logical to do so. Pessimism is unproductive, and so I take no part in it. 41. What is your greatest fear? Flans. I hate the things. They make no sense in function or anatomy, and have no analogue in all the animal kingdom. I tell you they are not of this world. What are those horrid things planning behind their beady little pupils? 42. What are your religious views? Some would say that is a moot point when the Calamity provided a wealth of evidence supporting the Twelve. However, all the mysterious signs and magics proved is that the aether of Eorzea bears twelve aspects which can, in times of heightened aetheric flux, manifest in twelve distinct and powerful runes. Everything else is narrative addendum constructed by sapient minds. If my neighbors find solace in the stories and characters, good for them. It's harmless balderdash to amuse the mind, like astrology or divination by cards. (In which I am Azeyman and Queen of Swords, should that amuse you.) 43. What are your political views? Royalist in a wide brush, Social-Royalist in a fine brush. Monetarists are selfish at best and nigh-on Garlean at worst. The Sultana ought to remain head of state for continuity of culture, and she ought to take her cues from a circle of effective, experienced advisors -- but, those advisors ought to be subject to a popular vote by Ul'dahn citizens. I honestly doubt if I'll live to see such a thing. 44. What are your views on sex? Pursuing it for its own sake is a vice. Employing it as a heartfelt connection is a virtue -- provided that both parties consent and are of age. Others are more... active than I, but that neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg. It's a great saving on silphium, at any rate. 45. Are you able to kill? Â Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? That is within my ability, as evidenced by the weight of slain bandits and Imperials. "In proportionate defense" is my rule, whether it be myself or others. 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Cause suffering in others for personal profit. 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Purported "soul mates" occur far too frequently to be statistically valid. True love has too many definitions, but is likely a depth of infatuation which I simply haven't felt toward anyone as of yet. 48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Efficiency. 49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings? Very. 50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? None that are unearned. I am biased against the Empire, for example. 51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? There are many things I would never do, because they are cruel or vile or whatever else. I hardly think this is the place to enumerate them. 52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? I do not know. Family or friends, perhaps. I would much prefer to die of old age. Part 5: Relationships With Others Show Content

53. In general, how do you treat others? Â Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I treat others politely until further exposure to them suggests ways in which I might sculpt that politeness. 54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Individually, I cannot say, because I do not know. I have several who would fit that title. 55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Grandmother, for her tenacity in building wealth for herself and her family. 56. Who are your friends? Â Do you have a best friend? Â Describe these people. I have... mostly acquaintances, rather than friends. None of them are quite on the order of "friend," since I envision "friends" enjoying each other's company most every day, building up a friendly rapport, engaging in pleasant conversation and amusements... Well, I suppose Miss Xenedra fits that definition, but our friendship seems built upon her teasing me for my social reticence and reserved bearing and me politely jibing her for her ... opposite of that. I always like being around her, watching her stir a crowd to activity as I cannot. I have fun, even if by proxy. Never a dull moment, hah. But even she isn't what I'd consider a "best friend," one with whom I can share anything, with whom I could not do without. I haven't had one of those for a very long time. ... Next? 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? Â If so, describe this person. I do not. I haven't much skill in instigating relationships of that nature, regardless of what interest I might have. 58. Have you ever been in love? Â If so, describe what happened. Next? 58. Have you ever been in love? Â If so, describe what happened. Look, I promise that I will thoroughly answer whatever question comes next if you simply allow me to skip this one. 59. What do you look for in a potential lover? ... Damn you. Fine. I look for intelligence enough to plan, strength enough to build, perseverance enough to complete, wisdom enough to maintain, cleverness enough to amuse, and patience enough to wait for amusement until after work. I look for someone with whom I might share, from whom I might learn, to whom I might teach. I look for a potential partner, is for whom I look. I require far more of a lover than a mechanical aid. And as such I've found none, though I've sampled modestly among those whom I'd found promising. And what amounts to promising? In all my reading, I haven't yet read a word that I feel accurately defines my... proclivity. I have no preference among the races or genders. If the personality fits, I care not if the bearer is man or woman of any clan whatsoever. Next? 60. How close are you to your family? Very. My parents and grandmother live on the same street as I. I visit frequently. 61. Have you started your own family? Â If so, describe them. Â If not, do you want to? Â Why or why not? No, and I doubt if I will. I simply don't feel that I'm the sort of woman who will ever have her own children. Too many risks involved, even with Ul'dahn doctors and Gridanian midwives. With the right person, however, I may adopt. 62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Grandmother, or my parents. We are there for each other, of that I am certain. 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Â Who, and why? I find it more efficient to not become a burden who needs protecting. If I had no choice, however, I suppose I'd trust my friends or local law enforcement. 64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? My family and friends, I should hope. 65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? One of my cousins. A liar and a villain who arranged the death of his wife for personal profit, among other crimes. May he never be seen again. 66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? That depends on how wrong they are. 67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? No. I prefer to observe and assist. 68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Â Why or why not? No. Interacting with everyone is an impediment to observing them. 69. Do you care what others think of you? Yes. And as such, I dress and speak and behave responsibly. Part 6: Likes And Dislikes Show Content

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? Reading, writing, monster study and people-watching. 71. What is your most treasured possession? Some of my old toys. A much-repaired plush dodo, a jadeite basilisk with two of its talons broken in the abuses of playtime, and a lacquered, gem-studded adamantoise with a shell that you can remove for storage of gil or small items. I had so many tea-times with them, in my youth. 72. What is your favorite color? Gray, or dark blue. 73. What is your favorite food? Bread. A whole constellation of wonderful food under a single word. 74. What, if anything, do you like to read? Classic literature, scientific periodicals, travel stories (fiction or non-), and satirical tales if crafted well enough. I tend to avoid all that "Popular Literature" tripe like domestic humor, beastman romance, or warring-kingdom politics dressed up with sex. 75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? Good books, good plays, good music. I would say museums as well, but none quite have the character of Father's. I find art museums too dry. 76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? Â If so, why? Â Do you want to quit? I drink socially, and even then only in moderation. 77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? Working. Reading. Or both. 78. What makes you laugh? Wit, whether it bites or caresses. I don't care much for low-rung humor. 79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Sapients' cruelty. It can shock and offend, though by now it doesn't surprise. 80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? I would read. 81. How do you deal with stress? By working through it. 82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? Spontaneity can lead to disaster. True, so can a plan, but at least a plan can see disaster coming. 83. What are your pet peeves? Rudeness. Selfishness. Those who think money excuses anything. Part 7: Self Images, Etc. Show Content

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. Â How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? I wake, I work, I rest. The details change, but the frame is the same. I admit to becoming very cross if something disturbs the schedule I've prepared on a given day, but I work through it as best I can. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person? Efficiency. Patience, perhaps. I notice that many people do not realize the power inherent in both. 86. What is your greatest weakness? My adherence to plans and schedules, even the fill-in-the-details-later ones. If one breaks, I'm temporarily no longer at my best. 87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd like to be taller. I'm already tall for a Midlander woman, but I find that height lends one a certain unspoken credibility that goes beyond skill. 88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Introverted, without question. 89. Are you generally organized or messy? Organized, as should be clear by now. 90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. Good: Civility, literacy, observation. Bad: Boldness, spontaneity, wearing bathing suits in public. 91. Do you like yourself? Of course. I'd rather be no one else. 92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer? Â Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? I want the freedom and resources to pursue my studies and projects. That's what I tell everyone, because it is true. 93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I would like to discover a new school of magic, and then spend my life refining it and teaching it to others. 94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? ... Ho-ho. Very funny. Assuming you do not think of yourself as a hilarious wag, I see myself working in five years. On what, I'm not certain, because I am no farseer. 95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? Quietly, at peace, in bed, at home. 96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Write. Walk. Swim in private. 97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? My writing, presuming that I've written something worthwhile between now and then. 98. What three words best describe your personality? Sincere, civil, studious. 99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Something similar, I'd hope. 100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? Enjoy yourself. RE: 100 Questions to Ask About Your Role-Playing Character - Knave - 07-08-2013 Show Content

Eva's 100 Q&A's
Part 1: The Basics 1.What is your full name? I was born Kes Ellanya Zelorius.  More recently I go by the given name 'Eva', and the surname 'Ianeira' - but I'm considering taking back my family name of Zelorius and going by 'Eva Zelorius'. 2.Where and when were you born? I was born in Ishgard, on the 20th sun of the 1st Astral Moon in the year 1540 of the 6th Astral Era. 3.Who are/were your parents?  (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) My father was Dyterium Zelorius - once a knight of Ishgard who resigned his commission and went on to live a more pastoral lifestyle before eventually opening a tavern in Gridania.  He passed away in 1572.  My mother was Dweia Meara-Zelorius - a prelate of Halone who left my father for another man and fled to lands somewhere in the east.  She may also be dead, and has not been a part of my life. 4.Do you have any siblings?  What are/were they like? I do not have any siblings.  There is a chance I may have half-siblings on my mother's side, but if so I have never heard of it nor met any of them. 5.Where do you live now, and with whom?  Describe the place and the person/people. Right this very moment I find myself without a home to call my own. 6.What is your occupation? I am a seamstress and a nurse. 7.Give a full physical description of yourself.  You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. I am a duskwight elezen woman of very fair complexion who stands 5 fulms and 9 ilms tall.  I am perhaps a little 'fluffy' and yes, I have a big chest...  My hair is long and blonde, and my eyes are purple.  I have a gray tattoo resembling a gnarled branch that goes over my left eye and cheek.  I prefer to dress conservatively and favor black, white, and cool colors in most of my attire. 8.To which social class do you belong? Currently I am not very well off.  But I am educated and trained and would normally fall into a middle class. 9.Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I have none that I am aware of. 10. Are you right- or left-handed? I am right-handed. 11. What does your voice sound like? I've been told my voice is softer than most, and is airy.  I also have a slight accent (Irish) that isn't as thick as my father's, but one that's been with me since I was a little girl. 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? I'm not really sure.  I'm told that I say "Oh" rather often.  Aside from that I don't really know. 13. What do you have in your pockets? A linkpearl, some gil, a case with a couple of needles and some thread.  I keep a dagger in a thigh-sheath for emergencies, and in my satchel there's a journal and a plush mandragora my father gave me when I was a little girl. 14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I tap my fingers a lot when I'm idle.  I prefer to be holding something or working on something - like knitting - whenever possible. Part 2: Growing Up 15. How would you describe your childhood in general? My childhood was good.  Most of my earlier memories are of Coerthas and my father was a good father and looked after me. 16. What is your earliest memory? My earliest memories are of how sad my father was. 17. How much schooling have you had? I've been in one academy or another from the age of 4 up until my 17th nameday.  Father felt this was important and I've learned a lot. 18. Did you enjoy school? I did enjoy school, mostly.  I always preferred reading and writing and mathematics, but never cared much for science. 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? White magic is something I was sort of born with.  Most everything else I've acquired over time or with training. 20. While growing up, did you have any role models?  If so, describe them. I looked up to some of my teachers while growing up, but none stand out to me more than others. 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I resented my father throughout my teenage years.  We disagreed on so many things.  He was good to me though, and looking back on things I wish I'd given him more credit than I did. 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? It may sound silly, but I always wanted to be an enchantress when I was a little girl. 23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? I liked playing make-believe and reading books more than anything else when I was a child. 24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? I was intelligent, but I downplayed this.  Most would probably describe me as quiet, or shy.  There were not many duskwights where I grew up so I was a little bit different. 25. As a child, were you popular?  Who were your friends, and what were they like? I was not very popular as a little girl.  I was friendly but I never really fit in with the other children. 26. When and with whom was your first kiss? My first kiss was with a boy named Pemenicaux I met at the book shop I worked in.  It was in the pouring rain!  I was 22 years old at the time.  I was kind of heavy and boys didn't really want much to do with me. 27. Are you a virgin?  If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? I am not a virgin.  I lost my virginity to that same boy - Pemenicaux Ianeira - and I was 25 at the time.  Yes, I waited a long time. 28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.  If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. I was a prodigy with white magic - born with the gift.  I had some difficulty controlling this through my early life though, and there was an accident when I was 7 years old.  This left me no longer wanting to use magic at all, and I swore off it entirely for 24 years.  More recently I've begun using magic again, but it is frustrating to me that I possess nowhere near the talent with it that I once had. Part 3: Past Influences 29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? I think when Pemenicaux died, it was hard, but it changed me in a lot of ways.  I don't think I would be who I am today if he had lived.  Not a day goes by I don't still miss him, though. 30. Who has had the most influence on you? Pemenicaux, my father, my old boss at the book shop, the friends I've made over these past few years. 31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? I once had to sew together over two hundred pairs of pants in only a few days' time.  That was pretty significant for me. 32. What is your greatest regret? I often regret not spending more time with my father when I was younger and listening to him more often. 33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? I think I hurt some people when they tried to rob me.  I was very emotional.  One of them was a young boy.  And I think some of them might have died because of it.  I lose sleep over that. 34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? No. 35. When was the time you were the most frightened? I think when I woke up from that dream and realized that I had to rescue Vaelyn.  What happened there with Dalamud was frightening, but I think what was truly terrifying was the thought that I might lose my babies. 36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? There have been a number of things, but probably one of the most embarrassing was when I was just learning to fight with the spear, I wasn't wearing my armor properly and it didn't fit correctly to begin with, and there were any number of wardrobe malfunctions that day. 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? I wouldn't.  What has been woven is for some reason, and to change that would be to change who I am.  It would be easy to wish Pemmy back to life, but I have to believe there is some reason all of these things have happened, and some greater purpose for us all. 38. What is your best memory? My first kiss with Pemenicaux stands out as the best memory of my life.  I still get shivers when I think about it. 39. What is your worst memory? The day the roegadyn fellow from Pemmy's squadron delivered the news to me of the accident and his death marks my worst memory ever. Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions 40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I generally try to be optimistic, but I am also practical and there are some times when being a little more guarded makes more sense.  I suppose optimistic overall, but usually cautiously so. 41. What is your greatest fear? Right now my greatest fear is that the twins I'm carrying will not be born. 42. What are your religious views? I believe firmly in the Twelve.  Nymeia is my matron deity, and I place a lot of faith in Nophica as well, particularly after certain signs have revealed themselves to me more recently. 43. What are your political views? Politically I favor peace to war, and negotiation to violence.  Beyond that I don't really have any strong opinions one way or the other. 44. What are your views on sex? I enjoy sex, but I believe it is a deed that should be held between two people who love each other and are faithful and devoted only to each other.  My family traditions spoke of marriage always coming before sex, however I do not adhere to this myself.  I am very guarded about whom I choose to share myself with though, and firmly believe that love should come first. 45. Are you able to kill?  Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? I think only for self-defense would I ever kill.  Or if a friend of mine were about to be killed.  I consider myself a pacifist and would rather not kill if it could be avoided. 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? I don't think there is anything more evil than betrayal.  When taking an oath, it should be meant and not ever broken.  When one puts all of their faith, trust, and devotion into another, and they are betrayed, there is no greater evil to me than that. 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? I used to believe we all have one soul mate.  More recently I've been granted another chance at love and I find myself struggling with this for a number of different reasons.  I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this right now, so I'm unable to accurately answer this question. 48. What do you believe makes a successful life? I think a successful life is made up of good friends, good memories, and time spent smiling and laughing. 49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I tend to be very honest and there is very little I have to hide.  I don't like volunteering information about myself because I'm not really sure I'm all that interesting a person, but I seldom have any reason to lie. 50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? Not really.  I tend to look on things generally pretty evenly. 51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances?  Why do you refuse to do it? I refuse to hurt the one I care about willfully.  I won't ever betray the one I love. 52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? I would die for my children and their assurances of a safe and healthy future.  I will put them before all other things in life. Part 5: Relationships With Others 53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)?  Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I am generally polite but sometimes cautious around strangers.  I am never rude to anyone unless they are first rude to me or someone I care about.  As I get to know people better, I sometimes feel very protective of them. 54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Right now I think Vaelyn may be the most important person to me.  He's been supportive and tender and kind and I admit it's not fair to him that I am as confused as I am about my feelings for him right now, knowing full well his feelings for me. 55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? I respect Pater, my old boss at the book shop.  He is always very friendly, sociable, and remains cool under pressure.  I admire his priorities and his outlook on life. 56. Who are your friends?  Do you have a best friend?  Describe these people. I consider a lot of people to be my friends - probably too many to dare to list them all here.  They are as unique and different as people can be, but I care about each of them.  I'm not sure if I have a best friend.  I have regarded Nel Celestine as such for a long time, but things have changed recently and I'm just not sure. 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other?  If so, describe this person. I am dating a duskwight man named Vaelyn.  He is kind and compassionate, but we each have differing conflicts that we're dealing with right now. 58. Have you ever been in love?  If so, describe what happened. I have been in love twice.  First with a wildwood man named Pemenicaux.  He died.  Then more recently with a duskwight man named Oskar.  He also died. 59. What do you look for in a potential lover? Kindness, more than anything else. 60. How close are you to your family? My father passed away recently, but I think we were much closer towards the end than when I was younger.  He was all the family I had. 61. Have you started your own family?  If so, describe them.  If not, do you want to?  Why or why not? I had a stillborn baby when I was with Pemenicaux when he was still alive.  Most recently I am pregnant with Oskar's twins.  I was told I was barren after the still birth, so I consider this kind of a miracle and I am looking forward to motherhood. 62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? I would turn to my friends. 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you?  Who, and why? I trust myself to protect me.  I also often lean on those same friends sometimes, and know that I can usually count on them. 64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? I wrestle with this question a lot lately.  I know Vaelyn would miss me.  I think most of my friends would as well. 65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? I don't really despise anyone, but if I have to answer the question I suppose maybe my mother, for not being there and for hurting my father and breaking his heart. 66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I tend to avoid conflict.  I would rather not argue, but sometimes it may be necessary to get a point across.  I don't like conflict though. 67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? No.  I don't really want to be a leader. 68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people?  Why or why not? No.  I prefer speaking with people more intimitely, one-on-one, or in smaller groups. 69. Do you care what others think of you? I do, I think, to some degree.  I've lost a lot of weight, and I try to fit in as best in can usually.  I would like to be liked. Part 6: Likes And Dislikes 70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? I love swimming in the summer and running when the weather gets too cold.  I enjoy knitting even though it makes me look like an old woman.  I've also come to enjoy practicing the forms with the spear, a part of what Father used to call a sort of dance. 71. What is your most treasured possession? My family's journals are my most treasured possessions. 72. What is your favorite color? I like a lot of colors, but I think I like purple more than others, or maybe white.  I like them both about the same. 73. What is your favorite food? Chocolate... 74. What, if anything, do you like to read? I enjoy reading romance novels and other works of fiction.  I think I like a good steamy romance more than anything else though. 75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? I'm happy just passing time with friends.  I like shows and plays, and listening to music.  Perhaps more than most just sitting with some friends and sipping tea and discussing recent events is a fine way to pass the time. 76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs?  If so, why?  Do you want to quit? I don't smoke and I don't like the smell of it so I try to avoid it.  I've never really tried any drugs and I'm not sure that I would want to after seeing the effects on someone I was close with.  I will drink occasionally, but usually in moderation and usually only white wine - though I've tried ale and some of the stronger drinks from time to time. 77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? Sipping iced tea on the front lawn and talking about recent goings-on sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday evening. 78. What makes you laugh? I have a good sense of humor and find tasteful jokes to be funny. 79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Rudeness, foul language, and arrogance are kind of offensive.  I don't usually protest such behavior, but it will make me think less of you if you are unkind to me or to other people for no real good reason. 80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? I would probably go for a swim or a run, or might try to get caught up on weaving work. 81. How do you deal with stress? I try to take things in stride.  I've learned that the Twelve never give us a greater burden than we can bear, but that we're tested in those moments not by whether we can handle difficult things, but rather in how gracefully we handle them when they come.  I do get stressed, but responding to that poorly does not help anyone. 82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? I have been known to be somewhat spontaneous.  It really depends what is going on.  Having a plan is good, so long as it's not too rigid and allows room for deviation. 83. What are your pet peeves? I think my biggest pet peeve is the unnecessary use of foul language, or profanity - particularly with regard to the Twelve. Part 7: Self Images And Etc. 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you.  How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? The days are no longer normal any longer, but when they were I tried to exercise twice a day, then spent my shift five days a week at Sunsilks mending what was torn and making new garments - usually pants and dresses.  If there was training scheduled I would make time for that, otherwise I would spend time with friends or do a little reading at home if nothing else really was going on.  Apart from my work schedule there's no rigid routine to which I adhere. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person? I like to think I'm patient, kind, and understanding.  I've experienced a lot of life and I'm a good listener and able to empathize with others very easily. 86. What is your greatest weakness? I'm told sometimes that I tend to overthink or overanalyze things.  Pemmy used to tell me to stop thinking so much and to start doing more. 87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I don't know what thing specifically I would change, but I'm told I look a lot like my mother - except for my eyes - and I wish I didn't.  I'd given a lot of thought to changing my hair style and color around, so maybe that. 88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? I think I'm kind of middle-of-the-road.  I tend to keep a lot of my thoughts to myself and don't mind spending time alone, but I also like getting out and spending time with my friends. 89. Are you generally organized or messy? I'm very organized.  Extremely so.  All right, I admit it...  I'm a neat freak. 90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. I'm very good at listening to people, at caring for those who cannot care for themselves, and at tending small wounds, bumps, scrapes, and the like.  I'm very bad at physical combat, leadership, and making really tough decisions. 91. Do you like yourself? I used to not like myself much at all, but I'm starting to get over this I think.  I feel I could be better, but I am mostly happy with who I am now as a person. 92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?  Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?  (If so, detail both sets of reasons…) I mostly wanted to help out.  Pemenicaux saw something and a way to do more.  I disagreed with him at first, but have kind of wanted to pick up where he left off.  So I sort of started out wanting to pick up where he left off, to kind of honor his legacy.  I don't normally give that as my reason though - not anymore.  Now I just want to help people, if I can.  There are a lot of people that need help and it warms my heart to be able to offer that help when I can. 93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I want to be a good mother and I want my children to be happy and healthy and live in a world where people are kind to one another and don't feel threatened all the time by beastmen or the Garleans or anything else. 94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I honestly don't know.  Five years ago - or I guess it would be ten years now - I didn't think I would be here.  I can't even begin to imagine where I would be five years from now. 95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? I'd like to be a very old woman in my bed with all my family around me when I die. 96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. I would tell Vaelyn how I truly felt, and not to resent himself or me.  I would try to speak with all of my friends one last time.  And I would ask that my name be enscribed on the wall in the clan-lands along with the rest of my family. 97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? I would like to be remembered for my kindness, openness, and warm-heartedness.  I would want to be viewed as a shoulder to cry on, an ear to talk to, and a hug for whenever one was needed. 98. What three words best describe your personality? Kind, motherly, patient 99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Kind, understanding, compassionate 100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?  (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…) "Eva, chillax a little and don't worry so much.  You always say yourself that everything happens for a reason, but you always get so worried about things.  Maybe just try to mellow out a little bit and just let the pieces fall where they may." RE: 100 Questions to Ask About Your Role-Playing Character - Nox - 07-08-2013 W'Dekan's 100 Questions. But it did allow me to really think about Sav's backstory, so it was worth it. She may seem a little bit flat, but she need time and the forming of relationships with others to really flesh out her personality. She sounds very knightly on paper. I wrote her responses more like a letter than if she were actually sitting down to a face to face interview. Show Content
