Survey Form
New Accurate, Expanded Results

Anyway, if any of you remember the survey I posted a few days ago, it's garnered about 6,000 responses now. Well, as promised, I was able to recreate the results, while still keeping it tied to the survey form. You will all be able to see the results updated in real time, with some expanded statistics such as male vs female healers, and individual stats for the top four servers. Additionally, you as a community will be able to view each individual result, download and play w/ the spreadsheet if you'd like, and comment/help me police for bogus results. Big thanks to /u/novapunkX for the help in bringing the formulas into Google. You'll notice it's just text stats and percentages, as google documents slowed to a crawl once I started adding graphical charts. So, no graphical charts, but the statistics are still really fun.

I know you've all seen a bunch of these already, but hang in there - we're all bored prior to launch.

Here's a quick survey I put together that's making the rounds from reddit to the beta forum with some interesting results so far. Thought you folks might want to stop in to pad your server choice and roleplaying as a play option. Smile

Some other notes:
- Yes, I am aware this isn't official census statistics and only representative of those who choose to participate. Tongue
- It is possible to submit the form more than once, so take the results with a grain of salt. It's more for a general idea/curiosity of race, gc, and where folks are playing.

I was all excited about the fact that the females are almost 50% of the results... then I remembered that was character gender, not player gender... QQ

Heh! That is interesting, for sure! The ffxiv subreddit had a demographics survey the other day asking people's real gender, where only 13% responded they were female. Though, seems a lot are playing with a female character. Thumbsup

Just so you're all aware when looking at the results, it appears there was a bogus multiple submission. I'm able to edit it out of the stored spreadsheet, but not the public results summary.

I'll try to post more accurate results in a couple days. But for now, try to visualize by subtracting 450 responses from the following categories:

- Female
- Seeker of the Sun
- Midgarsormr
- Conjurer/White Mage
- Weaver
- Fisher
- Gridania

Edit: Additionally, I should be able to farm some more interesting stats from the spreadsheet, including how many responses included "roleplay" per server. Smile

It'll be really interesting to see what this looks like when it stabilizes (and when it's not seemingly dominated by Redditor responses Smile ).

Yeah.... cuz right now, looks like Gilgamesh is the most populous server.

Which isn't surprising, I guess, if all of 4chan and reddit will be there, but still: so much for the belief that queue times would be shorter in comparison to Balmung! LOL

I'm so shocked to see that a quarter of the class population is Conjurer/White Mage. There won't be a shortage of healers at least.

According to that, Coerul is the non Legacy server with the most RPers...
(Balmung rocks the RPers on Legacy circuit tho!)

And... well... looks like I'm gunna be filling a niche with my female DW carpenter monk! lol

Please SE... give us a RP designated server and be done with it!
